In a brilliantly funny script, Gardner and Caruso bring back their Charlie Chan character Harry Hoo (comic Joey Foreman). Hoo, Smart and 99 are stranded on an island along with a number of other invitees. One by one they start to be killed off. There's a storm brewing and someone must brave the terrible seas to try and get help. "Good luck" says Max, handing 99 a paddle.

It's up to Smart and Hoo to figure out the murders before they become victims. A terrific Agatha Christie parody tightly directed by Gary Nelson who gives the episode a real atmospheric look. There's a lot of good jokes in this episode, but the real treat is seeing Foreman and Adams work together. Sadly, this was the last appearance of Harry Hoo, though Foreman returned as an attorney in one episode of the series and took over as Agent 13 in "The Nude Bomb".
