Uncle Gus
JordanThomasHall26 July 2018
Reverend Mother Placido is having an important dinner for the visiting directors of the convent's order. Unfortunately, cats devour their fish. Sister Sixto goes to her Uncle Gus (David Hurst), but the supposed great fisherman buys one for her at Lily's Fish Shack. When she discovers the tag Sister Sixto is upset that her uncle isn't the great fisherman she thought he was. It seems he can't compete with the new-age fisherman who use sonar to spot fish. Sister Sixto feels his last chance is to have Sister Bertrille could fly overhead and spot the fish for the nearsighted man. Meanwhile the creditors are pressuring Lily (Norma Crane, "Fiddler on the Roof") who is given a two-week extension. She in turn pressures Gus and the two seem to have romantic undercurrents. Sister Bertrille directs Gus for a week to fish and now he is overconfident. Reverend Mother Placido puts a stop to it and Gus is back in a tough spot. She suggests he makes a change to his lifestyle to make ends meet. Conflict ensues when Lily's two weeks are up.

Shaky plot that can't decide if it wants to be dramatic or comedic.
