Great to see Audrey Meadows but becomes a bit preachy and heavy handed

Warning: Spoilers
This one is over the top. Unlike the usual episodes which manage to be funny and sweet while teaching important lessons about division of wealth, poverty, adoption, civil rights, racism, and more, this one seems like it had a political agenda that beats you over the head. When the news crew shows up, it loses any semblance of reality. Drummond could have thrown her out and police would have taken her out of the building long before it got to that. And Drummond could have barred the news crew at the door. Though Drummond does provide a generous solution, it is unrealistic and literally unsustainable for all other future cases. So far, this is the first episode of the series I felt was disappointing.

Ridiculous!

What a stupid episode! Drummond could have easily called the police on this woman, and the police could have been more accommodating in arresting this squatter, and the newscaster seems like a future predator in the #MeToo, but will probably be exonerated due to his liberalism. Moreover, she had more than enough money to find another place to live, but SHE ADMITTED SHE SPENT IT ALL. A true example of how the show lives in Fantasyland.

Fantasy Island

Warning: Spoilers
In some ways an episode of Fantasy Island has more credibility and realism than this episode of Diff'rent Strokes. Still, this episode doesn't offer easy answers, and kind of foresees the uncertainty that tenants face when the 1% knock down their rentals for big bucks I guess.
