It's not bad....but it's short on laughs.

"Fifty-Two, Forty-Five or Work" is yet another flashback episode, though it's pretty short on laughs and easy to forget. It's still worth seeing but if you don't, it's not a terrible things.

When the story begins, the staff of "The Alan Brady Show" learn that the show will going on a hiatus for the summer. In other words, they'll have a three month long vacation. While this might seem wonderful, Rob then talks about the last time this happened, nine years ago, and he REALLY struggled because during the hiatus, the staff is not paid...and he was new to the show, Laura was pregnant, and they just bought a house*. So the episode is about Rob's efforts to get unemployment or a job.

As I already mentioned, this really isn't a funny episode. It's not bad or cringeworthy...but it's pretty forgettable...especially since after the nine year ago flashback, you learn that Rob really DIDN'T go without work at that time.

*As IMDB points out, according to a prior episode, Rob and Laura didn't move until much later. No biggie...just a minor continuity issue.
