Merry Christmas Sugarbaker style...again.

Warning: Spoilers
Okay, so why are we having a second Christmas episode so soon after the one where Bernice got everybody Suzanne Summers thighmasters? That episode was far too early in the holiday season, and now she has different gifts for the girls. But she gives the gift that keeps on giving for the audience, a hysterical medley of Christmas songs. The main plotline surrounds Carlene and Anthony becoming study mates and Carlene dealing with Anthony's seemingly amorous law professor William Morgan Sheppard. Anthony also does a very funny imitation of John Housman from "Paper Chase" and Jerry Lewis. Sheppard is deliciously pompous, but his agenda with Carlene is quite different than what it appears to be on the surface. Great theme that is a nice switch from the frequent man bashing on the show that often goes over the top.

Classic TV Xmas Countdown Episode #13

When Anthony's law professor Dr. Burton takes a shine to Carlene, Anthony tries to use the situation to win the man over.

I know I'm in the minority, but I actually think this is the better of the two Season 6 Xmas episodes. It's not as wacky and wild as "Julia and Mary Jo Get Stuck Under a Bed" but it has a lot going for it. Bernice seems to have one of her arterial flow problems in the opening scene and starts singing a schizo Xmas medley. Mary Jo only appears for a few moments - long enough to receive Bernice's gift of used bras and panties she picked up at a swap meet.

Julia calls Anthony's behavior out for what it is but Carlene is totally game and the big reveal at the party has a tarted-up Carlene sporting some *ahem* "enhanced" breasts. There are some very funny lines for Julia and Allison as a result of this. There is also a good twist regarding Dr. Burton's intentions but I won't spoil it.

Probably an unpopular opinion, but I think this is the best-written of the three Xmas episodes produced for this series. 8/10.
