Drake investigates the murder of a G.I.

Warning: Spoilers
John Drake's Mission: In Munich, Drake targets a young woman who may know something about the murder of an American G.I. with top secret missile information.

I quite enjoyed The Girl Who Liked G.I.'s. Drake's interaction with the young woman, Vicki (Anna Gaylor), was entertaining. The more Drake tried to draw her out, the more innocent she looked. I think Gaylor's performance might be one of the best I can remember so far in the series. Very nicely done. And the writing was spot on too. The mystery surrounding Vicki worked. I didn't know until the last minute or so if she was really an innocent or some sort of master spy. Good stuff all the way round. If I had any complaint it would be with the limited runtime. This episode could have easily been stretched out and made even better.

In addition to the outstanding performance from Gaylor and the always steady McGoohan, I enjoyed seeing Nigel Green in a small, but important role. He's the kind of actor who always does well.

Lovely Anna Gaylor

An okay espionage drama set in Munich, the story is rather uneventful as Pat poses as an American soldier to get the goods on blonde beauty Anna Gaylor, after a soldier she dates is killed by a pair of bad guys. Their light romance is entertaining before Pat reveals his true identity and interrogates her en route to solving the mystery..It's also an excuse to show some nice second unit footage of tourist attractions in Munich.

As usual, the story is wrapped up concisely in breakneck speed in the last couple of minutes of the show, leading to a rather sombre ending. I liked seeing French starlet Gaylor, who had a very lengthy career without ever achieving stardom, and did a fine job co-starring in her husband Alain Jessua's classic 1964 movie "Life Upside Down".

Wow....those cows!

The show begins in Munich. After going on a date with a local girl, an American G.I. is attacked and accidentally killed by some goons. Drake goes to Munich to investigate because the dead soldier was working in missile defense--and the death could relate to espionage. Drake makes contact with the same young lady and arranges to go out on a date. And, oddly, just after the date is over, men attack him and try to kill him. It seems like it's toxic to date this lady and Drake certainly wonders why.

This is a pretty ordinary episode of "Danger Man" and I think the biggest reason to see it is to get a look at those bizarre cows at the carnival. See the show--you'll understand. However, apart from this nothing all that remarkable about this one.
