Silly fun

Previous to my watching this episode today,(Cisco Kid all weekend 7-26-20 on 36.4 Decades tv in SF,CA) I had never seen it before. The closest association I had with the show was liking the song "Cisco Kid" by WAR in the 70's... So this was-is all new to me. From what I saw just in this episode,I'd say it is a decent entertaining show. I am now just beginning to realize how darn many western-themed tv shows were on tv in the 50's through the 70's,this was one of a very many. If you are looking for rock-solid logic and perfect continuity you will indeed be disappointed at times. And yes,it is chock-full of cliches and old tropes,corny-ness and such. However,I found the show to be very charming, you cannot help but chuckle throughout the whole show, sometimes with the show and sometimes at the show. All along, you get the idea that the actors are having fun doing the show, and they know some of it is a bit silly. The ''trouble with English'' trope is played like a fiddle,I suspect it is a constant throughout the series. Things like this, for example: Photographer: "Do you want a pro-file":? Pancho: "No..,I just had a burrito..." Bottom line, the 2 main characters work together well and they are silly/funny in their own right. I read that this was the first or one of the first tv shows to be in color, which was a pretty big deal at the time. If you've ever been a kid or you are a kid at heart, you will enjoy this show.
