Warning: Spoilers
The circus is in trouble, and Big Tim goes off in search of new acts. Corky writes Colonel Jack (Andy Clyde) who owns the circus. The colonel decides to take off managing his railroads and mining interests to run the circus. While the colonel may be a financial whiz, he doesn't know anything about a circus. His racing ostrich idea not only falls flat; but the ostrich scares the colonel's second idea—a giant trained Brahma Bull—so much that the runaway bull flattens the midway. Now the colonel wants to take the circus to Coal Town whereas the circus is scheduled to go to Carbon City. Pete is dispatched to get Big Tim. Tim arrives but too late. There is a disaster in Coal Town, a mine shaft collapses because the colonel wasn't home minding his real business. But the circus men show up to help and bring Bimbo the elephant to help. What can I say, all ends well. Most important a lesson is learned, stick with what you know.

Andy Clyde had a long career as a sidekick in movies from the 20's through the 50's. Yet he will probably be recognized the most from playing George MacMichael on The Real McCoys, and Cully Wilson on Lassie.
