Sebastian Cabot took center stage as Checkmate's resident criminologist gets lured away from a lecture and hired by some military school kids who think they're gym teacher has been murdered. Turns out they're right and the school itself is hiding some criminal activities.
Dan Duryea plays the headmaster and when you see Duryea's name in the cast you think nasty and mean villain. He's involved all right, but not quite the way he normally is when you see him on the big screen.
With Doug McClure going undercover as the new gym teacher the Checkmate crew of course gets to the bottom of what's going on.
I really enjoyed watching young Peter Lazer as the budding and precocious detective. The kid's already got some skills and he's got a job waiting at Checkmate when he grows up.
