Ohmygosh, that was such an emotional ending!!! I couldn't imagine any other ending would do. The breaks was that this man WAS going to die. His son was hanging on to the edge of the law and something had to be done. Though he wasn't much a father after the war, Frank took back his right to teach his son right from wrong and did it in a POWERFUL way!!! It brought tears to my eyes and made my heart beat faster, and my demise was when Nan hugged that boy for the ten-year old child he suddenly became in that instance. She laid his head on her breast and allowed him to weep...
This was a VERY good episode and it deserved much higher than a ten in my opinion!!! I DID notice that "the coward of Bitter Creek" didn't enter into this story, but there really wasn't opportunity to do so.
