I have always said that season 1 of Batman Beyond was the best of the seasons because of Derek Powers. He is a riot here! His condition has wosened and he is about to lose his mind and could easily have carried on as The Joker of Batman Beyond. He was just awesome!
Therefore I was a little disappointed in the writing of the show when Powers as his new self, Blight, had his final appearence in this episode. But the episode itself was awesome with how Bruce taught Terry how to cope with criminals no matter how gruesome they are and not getting too personal in crimefighting.
And when Derek Powers is responsible for the murder of Terry's father, that is hard thing for Terry which fills the episode with tension between them.
The addition of Paxton Powers is another highlight. He is equally cold and corrupt as his father and ends up showing it in the meanest way possible.
Maybe not my absolute favorite episode, but spectacular? Yes indeed!
