A story where a man suddenly isn't recognized by any of his friends and family isn't particularly new. Just off the top of my head, I remember an episode of "The Twilight Zone" very much like this and the terrific series "Nowhere Man" was entirely based on this same idea. However, just because the idea isn't new does not mean that ROGER isn't worth seeing. After all, the acting and directing are very, very good. In particular, Skip Pipo did an excellent job as the title character. So if you remember that this film was made by relatively inexperienced film makers, then you will no doubt appreciate it even more. I look forward to more work from these folks.
