PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, Sony’s fighting game featuring many of their flagship characters, has been available for both the PS3 and Vita for close to two weeks now, but developer SuperBot Entertainment is far from finished with the game. The developer recently announced that patch version 1.02 will be available for the game sometime next week, containing various gameplay refinements, bug fixes, and a new item to use in battle.
The big change as far as the character lineup goes applies mainly to LittleBigPlanet’s Sackboy, who will be toned down a bit. Each of his Super moves will now require more points to activate, and some of his normal moves will earn less points. AI intelligence will also be improved, along with overall online networking performance. A new powerup called Medusa’s Gaze, presumably God of War-inspired, will be added as well.

Hollywood, California — On Saturday night, the eve of the 53rd Grammy Awards, the Roots were unstoppable, unpredictable and unprecedented as they took the stage to perform their seventh annual Pre-Grammy Jam Session. But to call the event just a jam session would be quite the understatement. Similar to the years prior, the Roots played for hours on end, covering every genre of music from the blues to hip-hop to funk and rock and roll while inviting fellow musician friends — both old school and new — onstage.
"Every Jam Session you expect the unexpected," explained drummer ?uestlove when MTV News caught up with him just before his band took the stage.

Best known as the author of best-seller A People's History of the United States, Howard Zinn passed away on January 27th, 2010 at the age of 87. That the activist author participated in the 2009 documentary The People Speak at such an advanced age says much of his dedication and drive. However, The People Speak is not intended to act as a memorial piece for the late Zinn, but a distillation of the book into what is essentially a performance piece. The documentary takes a simple concept and sticks to it: a cast of actors and musicians either read from documents taken from regular people living during critical times in American history or perform songs popular at the time.
Zinn presides over the entire performance, lively and in touch with an appreciative audience and providing narration that strings together a fascinating history, the bare bones account of which we had learned long ago in middle school or earlier.

What happens when a hardcore guitar god meets a young, wholesome boy bander? Don’t worry, no puppies were hurt when Kevin and Slash came face to face
You wouldn’t expect Disney boy bander Kevin Jonas, 22, to have anything in common with former Guns & Roses rocker Slash, 44, but the two dudes still managed to find things to talk about when the checked out The Roots’ Jam Session at La’s KeyClub Jan. 30.
“Kevin sat down next to Slash in the VIP section at the show, and they chatted while watching The Roots perform,” one eyewitness tells HollywoodLife.com, adding that John Legend joined in the conversation as well.
If only we had been a fly on the wall in That room. We imagine the conversation would have gone something like this:
Slash: “So, kid, how you do feel about sex, drugs and rock ‘n roll?”
Kevin: “Is that an energy drink?...
