I have actually had a soft spot for Strawberry Shortcake for years but this is probably my personal favourite entry. This is actually two episodes in one: Seaberry Beach Mystery and Legend Of The Lost Treasure. As I usually do when I review things that have 2 or more episodes per video (ie: Spookable Pooh or A Merry Pooh Year), I will be looking at each episode separately and then look at them together. Seaberry Beach Mystery: Strawberry and Coco Calypso are having a get-together at Seaberry Beach when they notice that the seaberries that they have been harvesting keep going missing. While looking for the thief, they meet a brand new friend named Seaberry Delight. This episode is very sweet and has some funny moments as well. Seaberry Delight is a delight (I make a funny). Legend Of The Lost Treasure: At Seaberry Beach, Strawberry, Rainbow Sherbet, and Blueberry Muffin are hunting for shells when they find sand dollars and become obsessed with them. Seaberry Delight tells them a story about some mermaids who find golden sand dollars and other treasures that a sea serpent is obsessed with guarding. When much of the treasure gets lost, the girls introduce the sea serpent to the greatest treasure: love. The song I'll Treasure You is absolutely lovely and helps convey the idea of friends being above trinkets, which carries on to the girls after the story is done. Overall, I really enjoy it. I slightly prefer Legend Of The Lost Treasure but Seaberry Beach Mystery is very nice as well. I should mention that I love Custard the cat, she's so adorably snarky.
