CNet Central was Cutting Edge back in the Day
diskdoctor21 September 2008
I remember when this show first aired back in 1995, riding high on the success of... you guessed it Windows 95! This show was geek heaven! Once a week on the Sci-Fi channel, they would showcase various computer technologies from around the world and latest trends on the World Wide Web (before they just simply started calling it the Internet).

The general theme of the show was somewhat upbeat supported by the idea that up and coming technology would make all our lives so much the better.

Hosts of the show were Richard Hart and Gina St. John (later replaced by Daphne Brogdon), while various segments were hosted by the likes of Desmond Crisis (along with his technology pumped Fiero), Ryan Seacrest, and Hari Sreenivasan. With Soledad O'Brien popping in every so often to report on the new tech of the day. At the end of every episode, John C. Dvorak would close with his "Buy It, Try It, Skip It."
