Everyone knows Boston Rob Mariano from his time on Survivor or The Amazing Race.
Now, he is the undisputed star of the new Deal or No Deal Island, but if fans read into his posting on Instagram, things may end for him on the show.
With just five contestants left, Rob could be going home at any time, but a recent Instagram post has fans speculating that either he is leaving or his best friend in the game, Aron Barbell, is heading home.
Rob took the young Aron under his wing in the game and met with him on vacation after they finished filming for Deal or No Deal Island.
If what Rob has posted means what fans think it means, it seems like this week is the end for one of them.
Even Rob tries to stir things up by asking, “What is this all about?” in his caption.

This week’s Deal or No Deal Island competition has whittled the number of contestants from thirteen to five.
Nick Grasso was eliminated in a fierce battle between him and Boston Rob Mariano, resulting in Nick taking the deal from the banker.
Nick leaving the game with $4,417,000 meant Rob stayed another week, and the Night Owls declared that everyone was playing Rob’s game.
Boston Rob Mariano is a reality competition show expert, having been on Survivor and The Amazing Race multiple times, and is the one to beat in the game.
As reported by Monsters and Critics, fans are upset that the so-called Night Owls target Rob and his friend Aron Barbell so fiercely in the game.
But now, some fans speculate that maybe the show is being rigged to favor Rob because so many fans have declared they won’t watch it if he is eliminated.

The UK Labour Party has set out its plan for the film and TV industries, drawing a dividing line between itself and the ruling Conservatives as it slams the government for “getting themselves all tied up in culture wars of their own making and failing to support a pipeline of talent.”
Delivering her first major set-piece at the Creative Cities Convention, Shadow Culture Secretary Thangam Debbonaire said she will “not be fighting culture wars” but instead will focus on arts and culture being central to Labour’s “Phase One” plan if it gets into office. Her boss, Labour leader Keir Starmer, is plotting “a decade of national renewal in Britain.” The election is expected later this year and Labour is currently sitting around 20 points ahead of the Conservatives in the polls.
Debbonaire set out Labour’s position in thorny areas such as artificial intelligence (AI), the BBC and the ailing freelance workforce.

One thing is clear from a quick scroll through a cable TV guide or paying attention to the featured show commercials—the scarcity of family dramas.
Once that point is brought up, it's hard not to wonder what that says about our culture and society as a whole.
There was a time when families sat down and watched TV together.
Some of my fondest memories include watching Friday Night Lights and Gilmore Girls with my parents.
However, nowadays, the idea is becoming a foreign concept if the kids are under 18 or at least not teenagers.
There are many motives behind the switch to crime-focused content, whether true or procedural, hospital dramas, comedies, and series full of mature content.
And we are here to shed some light on the reasons for the change!

For years, Rob Mariano operated as a veritable Survivor ambassador, having first appeared in Marquesas before going on to compete five more times on the CBS franchise. His celebrity became so valuable to the network that he would compete twice on The Amazing Race and even allowed CBS to film his 2005 nuptials to fellow Survivor contestant Amber Brkirch.
But when NBC’s Deal or No Deal Island came calling with the chance to compete, Mariano didn’t hesitate to put CBS reality shows in the rearview mirror so he could try something new on a different network.

Claudia speaks her mind and is an asset on Deal or No Deal Island because of her experience in the regular version of Deal or No Deal.
As previously reported on Monsters and Critics, Claudia was a briefcase model in Seasons 1-4 of Deal or No Deal. She led the other models with style and ease.

She did a brief stint on a self-entitled talk show, The Claudia Jordan Show and Friends, and seems to be looking to revisit that career. It would be an excellent choice for her.

Claudia Jordan doesn’t hold back on Deal or No Deal Island and isn’t afraid to tell people exactly what she thinks of them.
In an upcoming spoiler for the next episode, Claudia gives another contestant a harsh “read,” as she called it.
Deal or No Deal Island is part Survivor, part Big Brother, and part Deal or No Deal, where anything can happen.
Since people get chosen to be thrown off the island, it is important to make friends and alliances, not enemies. Claudia seems to have had enough and doesn’t care. Kim Mattina is an enemy.
Kim, 63, is an Air Force veteran who has also survived skin cancer, according to the Journal Star, and has been playing a sneaky game, says Claudia.

When "Frasier" returned for a neither remarkable nor disappointing revival series in 2023, several things about the beloved titular doctor's comeback just felt off. The new incarnation of the sitcom was a fairly harmless and light-hearted affair, peppered with flashes of the sitcom magic that characterized the original show. That initial series ran from 1993 to 2004, becoming one of the greatest sitcoms to ever grace our screens. But while the revival saw star Kelsey Grammer firing on all cylinders and gave us a season finale that stacked up nicely against previous Christmas episodes, the supporting cast just wasn't ever going to be able to live up to the original ensemble. All of which made for a revival show that felt kind of like "Frasier," but not quite.
Adding to that uncanny feeling was the fact that "Frasier" 2023 also lacked something of the visual magic of the original. It's perhaps unfair to compare...

A new episode of The Traitors 2 featured a huge fight between Big Brother and Survivor legends.
Two-time Survivor winner Sandra Diaz-Twine is part of The Traitors 2 cast.
Fellow Survivor winner Parvati Shallow joined her at the Scotland castle. Much like the first season of The Traitors, this one has two Survivor alums.
Cirie Fields and Stephenie Lagrossa Kendrick played in the first season, along with Cody Calafiore and Rachel Reilly from Big Brother.
Cirie also won The Traitors Season 1, using her cunning to outplay everyone else in that cast.
Recently, Arie Luyendyk Jr. from The Bachelor said Cirie played “dirty” in a new statement about The Traitors.
Janelle Pierzina calls out Sandra Diaz-Twine

The 40th Sundance Film Festival kicks off Thursday in snow-covered Park City, Utah. In the wake of twin strikes and an indie biz still recovering from the Covid pandemic, it’s difficult to read how hungry buyers are for films that are mostly light on starpower and an overtly commercial premise.
For instance, the buzziest title seems to be Love Me, because it stars Kristen Stewart and freshly minted Emmy-winning Beef star Steven Yeun. But it is a completely execution-dependent premise — long after humanity’s extinction, a buoy and a satellite meet online and fall in love. Two fine actors, but neither is a giant theatrical So there could be competition for this one, but buyers will be coming in cold and, as one veteran fest buyer said, “it’s like every other movie here. Let’s see what you got.”

A group of high-profile actors have signed a public letter declaring that they would rather stay on strike than accept a bad deal.
Thousands of stars including Sarah Paulson, Chelsea Handler, Christian Slater, Sandra Oh, Daveed Diggs, Pedro Pascal and Kal Penn have signed the letter, which is addressed to the SAG-AFTRA Negotiating Committee.
“Back in June, before we went on strike, a large group of members signed an open letter telling our leaders that we would rather go on strike than take a bad deal. Now, more than 100 days into our strike, that is still true. As hard as this is, we would rather stay on strike than take a bad deal,” the letter opens.
“We have not come all this way to cave now. We have not gone without work, without pay, and walked picket lines for months just to give up on everything we’ve been fighting for.

Comcast chief executive officer Brian Roberts is “very glad” that Disney and Charter Communications resolved their carriage dispute and “happy for both companies that they figured something out good for consumers.” But as it relates to potential carriage disputes for Comcast, he acknowledged that the deal is “not one size fits all” for the rest of the industry.

Exclusive: “Anyone expecting a polite, apologetic version of Survivor will be completely surprised,” the EP behind the BBC’s rebooted reality series has proclaimed.
Speaking to Deadline a few days prior to launch, reality TV vet Paul Osborne said Survivor’s producers have leaned into high-production values and high-stakes gameplay in a similar vein to the U.S. team behind the Emmy-winning CBS smash, which has run for 45 seasons and 650 episodes over two decades.

Hulu is jumping into the competition-series game with a series that will put people in a house and pit them against one another for a big cash prize.
Big Brother? Nope. The Traitors? Also no. The Disney-run streamer has ordered Got to Get Out, a competition show/”social experiment” with echoes of the prisoner’s dilemma — the thought experiment where people can work together for mutual benefit or go solo for a potentially greater reward. Got to Get Out will feature contestants living in a mansion for 10 days, with a pool of prize money rising by $1 every second (there are 864,000 seconds in 10 days). The players will also work together on challenges to increase the prize money up to $1 million. They can stick...

One Chicago fans will have to wait a bit longer to find out what’s next for the crew at Firehouse 51. Chicago Fire Season 12 was set to premiere in the fall of 2023, but the show’s return is delayed because of the twin SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes.
‘Chicago Fire,’ ‘Chicago P.D.,’ and ‘Chicago Med’ premiere dates delayed Jake Lockett as Carver, Miranda Rae Mayo as Stella Kidd in ‘Chicago Fire’ | Adrian S Burrows Sr/NBC
On July 19, NBC revealed its fall 2023 broadcast schedule. Unfortunately, premiere dates for Chicago Fire Season 12, Chicago P.D. Season 11, and Chicago Med 9 were all noticeably absent from the revised lineup, with the network promising news about the return of those shows at a later date.
Instead of the typical three-hour block of One Chicago shows on Wednesday night, NBC will air a rerun of either Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., or Chicago Med in the 8-9 p.

NBC is keeping broadcast’s scripted hopes alive.
The network will have a slew of original scripted dramas on the air in the fall as part of a slightly revised schedule thanks to some forward planning.
The second half of season five of Magnum P.I, which was originally intended for midseason, will debut in the fall on Wednesday nights, and will be joined by Quantum Leap, new series Found and The Irrational as well as Canadian medical drama Transplant.
It comes as NBC’s rivals largely moved into the unscripted arena for their fall schedules with ABC relying on reality fare, CBS ramping up its competition series and adding some sister shows such as Yellowstone, and Fox sticking with non-scripted and animation.
Deadline understands that Magnum P.I, which is ending with season five, has ten full shot episodes, it has a number of episodes of Quantum Leap, which was renewed in December,...

The UK gameshow revival continues apace.
Having already put high-profile reboots of Big Brother, Jeopardy and Deal or No Deal back into production, ITV is now reviving iconic gameshow Wheel of Fortune, helmed by UK TV stalwart Graham Norton.
Sony-owned Whisper North, which is also producing Stephen Fry-hosted Jeopardy, will make an eight-part run including two celebrity specials.
Wheel of Fortune aired beween 1988 and 2001 on ITV, generating something of a cult following alongside the original U.S. version, which has aired non-stop for nearly 50 years. Yesterday, it was revealed that Ryan Seacrest will take over from Pat Sajak as host of the U.S. show’s 42nd season. The UK version was hosted by the likes of Nicky Campbell and Bradley Walsh during its initial run.
The show is centered around a giant carnival wheel as contestants spin to win for a cash prize. The turn of the...

Ask any millennial if they remember Dick and Dom in Da Bungalow, and their reply will probably be:
“Bogieeeessss!”
Once they’ve stopped gleefully screaming the show’s catchphrase, they’ll tell you it was a weekend kids’ TV programme on the BBC presented by Richard ‘Dick’ McCourt and Dominic Wood – aka comedy duo Dick and Dom – and it was also pure, unadulterated, I’m-writing-to-Ofcom chaos.
Dick and Dom in Da Bungalow – whose name was a parody of the Sacha Baron Cohen film Ali G InDaHouse – aired between 2002 and 2006. It became a cult hit with kids and students alike, thanks to its puerile humour, its complete absurdity (once a cat randomly appeared and sang a song about Stoke-on-Trent) and the fact that Dick and Dom seemed to be having the absolute time of their lives making total havoc on live TV.
Was there any kind of format to this live mayhem?...

Nick Cannon has upset fans.
The dad-of-12 regularly jokes about having so many children, and during an appearance on a recent episode of his comedy show “Wild ‘n Out”, he suggested he was ready to have another.
Cannon joked about impregnating WWE star Bianca Belair, leading social media users to take to Twitter to voice their disgust.
The host had been belting out a “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” theme song spoof in front of Belair and her husband, Montez Ford, when he rapped: “There’s a couple of guys who were up to no good, they starting making trouble in my neighbourhood. I get in one little fight, my mom got scared…
“Because I wanted to impregnate Bianca Belair,” he added.

Exclusive: Channel 4 has abruptly cancelled its Four Weddings reboot in a move that has had the industry speculating over the state of the network’s finances amidst declining ad revenues and an economic downturn.
Deadline understands around two-dozen people were due to start production on Four Weddings shortly but were informed earlier this week that the show had been stood down, leaving the production team blindsided. ITV Studios-backed MultiStory Media was producing the reboot and it was commissioned several weeks ago, with production due to take place over the summer. Freelancers have instead been given a compensation package for a two-week notice period, we understand.
Four Weddings aired on Sky for four seasons around a decade ago and sold to several territories around the world including TLC in the U.S. The Come Dine with Me-style show follows four brides or grooms attending each other’s weddings, as they rate them on dress,...
