An Elaborate Scheme
Uriah4329 October 2018
"Sin Lei" (Ivy Ling Po) was a successful actress who willingly chooses to abandon her career when she got married. Unfortunately, her happiness ends when she discovers that her husband "Li De Chang" (Shan Kwan) is having an affair with a novelist by the name of "Su Su" (Lisa Chiao Chiao). Filled with rage and humiliation she then proceeds to devise an elaborate scheme to murder her husband and to that end she she blackmails a medical practioner by the name of "Dr. Huang" (Ming Kao) as an accomplice. However, despite all of her in-depth calculations, things begin to unravel at the last minute which not only jeopardizes the success of her project but also threatens to expose her culpability for all to see. Now rather than reveal any more I will just say that this was a pretty good crime drama which benefited from some solid acting on the part of Ivy Ling Po and the exotic location of Hong Kong. For those reasons I have rated it accordingly. Slightly above average.
