A relentless picture of rough western life
deickemeyer31 March 2019
A two-reel western number with some new touches in it. "Mom," the outlaw's pipe-smoking mother, is a good character bit, though she is far from being a good woman Her efforts, as well as those of the girl to save the ill Jim from his pursuers, are pathetic. This is a relentless picture of rough western life as Bret Harte might have described it had he been a scenario writer or producer. A well-drawn character like "Mom" will put a strong interest into any film. A successful offering of rough western life. - The Moving Picture World, November 7, 1914
