Good work, guys!
DARKESTLILY18 September 2005
This movie was a first-time effort for filmmakers Steven Grainger and Jason Griscom. And like most first-time efforts, the film will have it flaws. My main complaints were: the editing, the soundtrack, and some of the acting.

Complaint #1 (Editing): I like my gore and action just as much as the next horror fanatic, but there is enough and then there is too much. The action sequences just tend to drag on and on. After 30 seconds into the scene, you may want to grab a snack, use the bathroom, make that call to your mother, and maybe read that novel you've been trying to finish, until it's over.

Complaint #2 (Soundtrack): Okay, the complaint is not about the music itself. In fact, I enjoyed the music. BUT once again, it was just too much. It was almost like watching an 80 minute music video rather than a zombie movie. It just took away from the performances of the actors/actresses(or was that intentional?)

Complaint #3 (Acting):Again, most of this is relating to the action scenes, but there were some pretty bad moments in between. The actresses do not seem like they are into the fighting scenes at all. Were they afraid to break a nail? I'm sure it's difficult working with amateurs, but I would expect them to put forth a little more effort. However, I do believe Coleen Galeazzi gave it a little more effort than the others. Her performance seemed to improve as the film progressed.

And I do realize that the action sequences are harder to film than most scenes. I just think with some improvement, the filmmakers could go far.

Now, time for the ego stroking... I like the choice of the black and white, grainy cinematography; it gave it a certain dark quality and was very reminiscent of Romero's Night Of The Living Dead. In fact, horror fans will catch little homages to their favorite filmmakers throughout the film.

I really enjoyed the performances of Steven Grainger and the Anti-Seen boys. They managed to actually keep me entertained and laughing throughout the film. Comedy really seems to suit them well.

I really enjoyed the story. There were a few plot holes here and there... and at times it did get a bit confusing. However, the plot holes weren't really important to the story, so I forgot about it just went with the flow.

Come Get Some is a wonderful film for Z-Grade film lovers and zombie fanatics. I would not suggest this film to your average film-goer, but I do think my zombie-loving friends would enjoy it. And I'm really looking forward to the sequel, Come Get Some More.

zombies take over again

Warning: Spoilers
this is a great Indy movie by a buddy of mine (Last Resort Man) who is also the lead character. It takes place in Georgia and of course the living dead are coming back. Although filmed in 2003 it is a black and white movie, which i didn't expect. The gore in this is awesome, plus the ending fight scene is great with the zombies, rednecks, and female zombie slayers,(oh LRM too). The characters are funny as the movie is gory, from LRM's t-shirts and the way he draws his gun are just laugh out loud funny. The music is also very good, performed by the same guys who are the rednecks in the movie. If you can find this i highly recommend it for great gore, comedy, and rednecks playing "mailbox baseball" with zombies. I hear now that part 2,Come Get Some More is just about ready, stay tuned.

Nice try

Not a very good film at all. While it has it's campy moments, most of it is just a bunch of amateurs trying to make a z grade zombie flick. (which is what they did) The FX are terrible, the acting is ridiculous and the B&W photography is almost UN-watchable.

However, on the good side, if your into Z-Grade trash (as am I) some people may enjoy this flick, I however, did not.

If these types of no budget horror films are you cup of tea, then I'd recommend "Meat Market", "Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things", "Biohazardous" or "Zombie Planet" in stead of this one.

Good luck to the filmmakers, I'm sure they worked their asses off to make it, but fell short of my endorsement. I'd be will to see what they come up with next, as long as it's not a sequel to this crap!

Puts the FUN back in FUNERAL

I knew I was going to enjoy this movie, before the opening credits even started rolling and a very dead elvis goes shuffling his snaggle-toothed, rigor mortis-stiffened corpse into view, ambling grotesquely along down a deserted sidewalk, it was obvious this movie wasn't gonna disappoint.

The cinematography was really quite surprisingly well-executed, not a very common occurrence in a lot of low-budget offerings I've seen. In fact, one of the stills from the movie - the cemetery shot w/ the girl standing over the gravestone "Martin" - is a photo I'd love to frame and hang up on my wall; Yeah, it's that good.

Come Get Some is a funny, gory, punk rock twist on the zombie movie genre. I can't wait to Come Get Some More! Oh yeah, did I mention that AntiSeen is on the soundtrack? Yup. So go and get some Come Get Some action today...you won't regret it.

HOT women fighting zombies, Antiseen fighting zombies, a really good soundtrack, and the government looking like fools...

Well, I just have a quick comment for zippy... OUR movie kicks major ass !!HOT women fighting zombies, Antiseen fighting zombies, a really good soundtrack, and the government looking like fools...You cannot compare it to Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things. Our movie is much better than that crap ever wants to or will be and yes,we did work our asses off on this film. I don't want to get angry . I appreciate the comment. At least you took the time to sit though our movie. It took us a long time to make. Plus, we were working on a limited budget. The effects were not as bad as you're making them out to be. So, I guess, thanks for viewing our movie. If anyone else has seen the movie and would like to leave a comment, please feel free to do so ! Thank you.
