Pardon her manners
msgoodman-3453522 January 2024
Hello. I enjoy Vegan concious cooking shows and recipes. However, Christine appears a bit rude and snippish with guests. She is quick to interrupt and rush guests though I understand she may be preesed for time. Particularly one episode her husband was called in to make his specialty of hummus. He was doing freat working with food processor but wanted to add Cumin, an ingredient Christina was not fond of. He did not even get the chance to press start on the food processor before she whisked him out stating " ok you can leave now". I am sure she is well versed in the Vegan life style but can use a tutorial in good manners.

Condescending vegan

I've only seen this show a couple of times and I already dislike it. This chick has a bad attitude. She actually said "duh" after saying everyone should buy organic food. She goes on and on about natural living and the horror of pesticides but she's got a mess of fake orange hair on her head. She may not like to eat chemicals but she has no problem marinating her head in them. And speaking of her hair, I find it very unappetizing that she stirs batter with that long hair hanging over the bowl. Why doesn't she wear a ponytail or a chef's hat?

Besides all that, her cooking isn't especially interesting. She thinks people are going to eat fried vegetables and tofu for breakfast. Yuck. Almost every show has her flinging random vegetables into a stirfry. She has no imagination. And if she's a vegan, why is she so dumpy and out of shape?

Can I give this a negative score? What a horrible attitude!

Unlike the Jazzy Vegetarian, who has charisma, Christina is downright vile. She talks down to people and tells you how unhealthy you are because you eat the most nutrient-dense food(animal proteins), even though she is out of shape. She does talk about her personal trainer, but thinking she needs a refund. She also seems to think if you undercook pasta it will magically not spike your glucose, that is debunked by any fitness guru who has actually worn a monitor. To top all of this off? Her food is nothing great nor visually appealing. For all of the great PBS shows there are, we are then given this. Yuck!

An Excellent Cooking and Nutrition Show !!!

'Christina Cooks' is such a breath of fresh air. This is the only 100% vegan cooking show that I know of. Besides the wonderful dishes, Christina gives really great nutritional advice. The Food Network has many good shows about food, but nothing for vegans (and we're a growing segment of the population). So we are very happy that our local PBS station is carrying this fantastic show! Anyone who is concerned about their health will find this show both insightful and delightful. The dishes that are prepared help with such health issues as energy, circulation, fighting free radicals, prostate health, menopause, and even happiness.

Culinary shock and awe

These recipes are so atrocious, I wouldn't trust her to cook for a death row inmate.
