Waking up early or if you can't sleep this is the news to watch!
blanbrn28 September 2017
Often setting up late or being up early this is the news that I watch I will tune to NBC(America's best choice) for early morning coverage of breaking news before the day starts! As the news is full of highlights and footage of international happenings, domestic news, money tips advice, and even entertainment news, and weather and sports reports are given! And this program has launched the start for many hot and attractive female news anchors like Natalie Morales, Lynn Berry, and I remember when Veronica De La Cruz reported. I now enjoy seeing the sight of the beautiful Frances Rivera! Now if you want to be informed early or like rise and shine news then "NBC's" "Early Today" is the way to start.

DVRing this show is a help 4 the day.

I DVR this show Monday @ 3A Tues-Fri @ 4A. The Monday show is the full 30 min. Tues-Fri from 4A - about 4:25. For quite a while, the news cast is Philip Mena & Frances Rivera. The weather is done by Michelle Grossman along with Angie Lassman. Everybody does a very good job. I first found out this show as far back as June 2004. I rediscovered it about July 2017. I would usually watch it LIVE @ 4AM since i had to be at work by 6AM usually Mon-Fri. Once i retired in July 2020, i didn't keep up. But here in 2023, it has been part of my life. There is references to some of what happened the day before.

Just no

I've tried watching this show but can't tolerate Philip Mena. He's as interesting as dry toast, giving the news wearing his "Morning Joe" pullovers without any personality. He's been on Early today long enough to have improved but hasn't. Unfortunately NBC seems to overlook good talent right under their nose. Maybe their trying to meet some sort of quota but this morning duo doesn't cut it. The early morning shows are usually a place for young talent to learn to hone their skills. I don't know how NBC can compete with their competitors for early viewers going forward. I know as a viewer it helps to hire people who compliment each other.
