New Age-inflected romance
lor_23 October 2018
This Adam & Eve release from 15 years back is a Couples-aimed feature, somewhat bland compared to the Nicholas Steele classics that preceded it for the label.

Steven St. Croix is the title figure named Gus, who inveigles his way briefly into the lives of the other players, imparting wisdom. Feature plays a bit like the Eddie Murphy vehicle "Holy Man", but without the televangelist plot line or any humor.

Lauren Phoenix and blonde Taylor Lynn are quite erotic in the lead roles, having sex in romantic, laid-back fashion rather than the gonzo approach. Nothing much happens, in a minimal story revolving around a celebration party attended principally by Taylor and her architect husband Tom Sexton.

Handsome visual style and an atmospheric score by Lance Erickson complete the package.
