Dreamy but remote
lor_1 October 2020
Not one of the better Nick Steele/Saint collaborations, this Adam & Eve feature has the customary hypnotic mood and sensual sex, but writer/cameraman Philip O'toole falls short in both assignments.

With annoying echo-chamber dialog delivery, Randy Spears and Inari Vachs appear in a black & white film projected to an assembled group: the kind of set-up one sees in mysteries where the deceased has filmed an addressed to assembled relatives to be projected in lieu of a reading of a will.

Five people are given large cards, not Tarot, but with messages on them we don't see, marked on the back with the title letters; F - L - E - S - H.

Five fantasy sex scenes ensue, with both Spears and Inari involved in them, too. Stars like Dale DaBone and Kristal Summers perform adequately, but O'toole photographs the scenes with a distant camera, more like an artistic tableau than the usual sex scene. Artistry is also present in very lovely settings for the XXX action.

With a rhythmic, hypnotic Saint musical score in the background, the film just sort of lays there, closer to the abstract beauty approach of an Andrew Blake movie than necessary.
