A frantic tale of 2 Chillian Friends
jaslr18 October 2004
Filmed not unlike Man on Fire with quick angle changes and and often shaky viewing angle, this film also mimics (perhaps coincidentally) Cidade de Deus.

Never being to the city I can not back up the authentic portrayal of it. However, the constant buzz of city noise, obvious social class differences, as well as a raw look into the drug world and crime can almost define the dark underbelly of every major city.

This film was presumably filmed on a small budget but because of the filming location it's not obvious. The chosen actors were brilliant, both were brutal, delinquents and affectionate making Mala Leche a raw and captivating film into the drug world.

A great movie

Mala leche, is a refresh for the Latin American cinema, it's a realistic and

captivating feature. It is and amazing movie that shows a latinamerican reality with a lot of style. It's a brutal tale of friendship, love and crime. It's full of vitality and action filmed with much quality. It's the story of two young criminals who make and unsuccessful debut in the world of drug dealing. with the threat that they must repay the money lost in the transaction in two days or die, the two set out on a frantic wave of crime.

It's a great represented of the new latinamerican cinema, like "Cidade de deus" (brazil), "Amores perros¨(Mexico) and "Y tu mamá también", (mexico) I recommend it very much.
