Lindsay Lohan may not like watching her own movies, but admitted she got emotional when she saw her son watching one of her beloved films.
The actress stopped by The Drew Barrymore Show on Thursday, where the host asked her whether she watches the films she had starred in. Drew Barrymore noted that she can’t because it feels “indulgent.”
While Lohan said she doesn’t seek out her movies, she will occasionally have one on in the background. “I mean, if someone wants to watch it and I’m there, I put it on and I’m like cooking in the kitchen or I have to run upstairs or I’m busy doing something else, ’cause it’s hearing my voice that I’m like, ‘Eh,'” she explained.

Megan Fox first stole our hearts when she made her film debut in 2004's "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen." However, we weren't the only ones mesmerized by her piercing blue eyes and signature smolder. Throughout her career, Fox has romanced a handful of stars, including ex-husband Brian Austin Green and her fiancé, Machine Gun Kelly. After meeting on the set of "Midnight in the Switchgrass" in March 2020, Fox and Mgk developed a deep connection off screen, and they've been dating ever since.
The two cemented their union by announcing their engagement on Instagram on Jan. 11, 2022. "And just as in every lifetime before this one, and as in every lifetime that will follow it, I said yes," Fox captioned a video of the proposal. When they're not sharing glimpses of their love on social media, they're showing off their steamy romance on red carpets.

Megan Fox is as much of a 2000s icon as they come. From her start in “Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen” to the “Transformers” series and cult film “Jennifer’s Body,” Fox left her mark on Hollywood — and became a bona fide sex symbol, whether she wanted to or not.
Fox famously recalled her small part in Michael Bay’s “Bad Boys II” where she danced in a bikini, cowboy hat, and high heels under a waterfall at age 15 during a now-infamous interview on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” She later went on to work with Bay for the “Transformers” and “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” films, and while since reconciling with the director, she voiced the suffocation she felt being typecast in Hollywood.
“I think that I was ahead of the #MeToo movement by almost a decade,” Fox told Glamour UK in a May cover story. “I was always speaking out against some of the abusive,...

Teen queen Lindsay Lohan most famously led Tina Fey’s star-studded “Mean Girls,” and while the fandom is still undying 18 years later, Lohan’s take on her role is very different than you may think.
During a video interview with Vogue‘s Life in Looks reliving her best fashion moments, the “Falling for Christmas” star revealed that she didn’t see her character Cady Heron exactly as the victim of a high school clique, here called the Plastics, played by Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried, and Lacey Chabert.
Instead of playing “damaged” Cady, Lohan hoped to portray head mean girl Regina George, before the role ultimately went to McAdams.
“The story behind me playing Cady in ‘Mean Girls’ is really unknown by a lot of people. I wanted to play Regina,” Lohan told Vogue. “Because I had just come off of ‘Freaky Friday,’ and I really wanted to play like a pretty,...

Exclusive: Jay Leno is set to make a rare feature appearance in Midas Man — the film about Beatles manager Brian Epstein — playing another celebrated TV personality: Ed Sullivan.
The former Tonight Show host last appeared in a live-action movie as a character other than himself way back in the ’90s. He has voiced a number of animations, however, and small-screen roles include ABC’s Last Man Standing.
Midas Man, currently in production, stars The Queen’s Gambit‘s Jacob Fortune-Lloyd as the late Beatles manager. The project charts Epstein’s role in the creative explosion of the 1960s and his sizable influence on pop music.
The Fab Four made several appearances on The Ed Sullivan Show, including three in February 1964 that were among their first appearances in front of an American audience. Their first appearance, on February 9, was seen by a then-record 73 million viewers and came to be regarded as a...

In 2004, Lindsay Lohan was on top of the world. She'd parlayed her success in Disney-produced films like Freaky Friday and Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen into true teen idol status with the release of Mean Girls, the Tina Fey-scripted box office smash that cemented the starlet as both a household name and paparazzi target. She was still a few years out from the string of personal problems and legal skirmishes that would derail her red-hot career in a way that she's, sadly, never managed to fully recover from. Feet firmly planted in the center of the zeitgeist and could do anything she wanted as her next move. Naturally, it was time to record an album. Now, the move wasn't without...

Lindsay Lohan’s Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen turns 15 years on Wednesday and the film wouldn’t be the same without her love interest Eli Marienthal.
The heartthrob, 32, played Sam, Lola’s high school friend, and later, boyfriend.
He may have retired from acting, but Marienthal is still the cutie he was back in 2004 when the film was initially released.
Not only has he kept his good looks, but he’s also doing good work.
Marienthal co-founded a wilderness guiding, outdoor education organization called Back to Earth with his best friend Jesse Sachs in 2014.

Same stereotypes, different name.
If you look at the shining beacon of humanity that is Urban Dictionary, you will find fanboy defined as “a passionate fan of various elements of geek culture (e.g. sci-fi, comics, Star Wars, video games, anime, hobbits, Magic: the Gathering, etc.), but who lets his passion override social graces.”
What about fangirl? “A rabid breed of human female who is obsessed with either a fictional character or an actor.”
While the former isn’t exactly an endorsement, the latter is a whole different category of harsh — and might have well been ripped from a newspaper written a hundred years ago. Because despite what this 2009 Today article or this 2012 Time article would suggest, calling women the “new” face of fandom is inaccurate. They’ve been there all along. The movie fangirl stereotype is almost as old as the movies — certainly older than their fanboy counterpart. As described by Diana Anselmo-Sequeira in her...

Welcome to Random Roles, wherein we talk to actors about the characters who defined their careers. The catch: They don’t know beforehand what roles we’ll ask them to talk about.
Though still young, Alison Pill has already amassed the kind of career most actors would kill for, with dozens of roles in everything from made for TV movies to films by some of the most acclaimed directors in the world. She started in Canada as a child, working steadily in television and small film roles before moving on to appear in popular indie films like Pieces Of April and large studio projects such as Confessions Of A Teenage Drama Queen. From there, she moved into a diverse series of roles, including beloved cult films like Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World and Snowpiercer, and a starring role on divisive HBO series The Newsroom. 15 years ago today, the doors of the Coyote Ugly saloon swung open, turning a low-key Jerry Bruckheimer-produced coming of age film into a beloved cult hit.

By now we all know that Lifetime’s Aaliyah movie was an atrocity. The network has a long history of going for camp — choosing true Hollywood stories that are famous for their salacious details. Sometimes they hit (see: Joan Allen‘s Emmy nomination for 2009′s Georgia O’Keeffe), but most of the time it’s a big mess. And the casting is almost always terrible.
We love pop culture, so we took it upon ourselves to dream up some Lifetime movie subjects of our own — complete with questionable casting choices. Lindsay Lohan‘s charmed fall from grace (full of drug and shoplifting accusations, and even a dip in the lady pond) is the perfect vehicle for fellow Disney redhead Bella Thorne. Obviously Beyoncé will want to play herself in any and all future representations of her life (as well as write, direct, and produce), and who better to step into...

Lindsay Lohan as Regina George? The idea seems almost unfathomable, but the star of 2004's smash hit Mean Girls actually wanted that part, rather than the lead role of Cady, the iconic comedy's heroine. Ten years after the movie debuted, Lohan says she argued with director Mark Waters over playing "Queen Bee" Regina. After portraying a geeky teen in previous roles, she was desperate for one that would let her rule the roost, Lohan, 28, told Entertainment Weekly in its annual reunions double issue. The actress is paired with costars Tina Fey and Rachel McAdams, who had originally auditioned for the Cady part,...

One sure sign of a film's legacy: Does it inspire its own holiday? If you happened to be anywhere near the Internet on Oct. 3, you probably noticed an outpouring of nostalgia for 2004's Mean Girls. The reason? A throwaway line uttered by Lindsay Lohan's Cady: "It's October 3rd." That may seem a pretty slim thread to hang an entire day on, but it's indicative of the fervent fan base for this new-classic teen comedy. Written by Tina Fey and directed by Mark Waters (Vampire Academy), Mean Girls stars Lohan as a high school student at a new school who infiltrates the Plastics,...

"Transformers" (2007) launched Megan Fox to international stardom -- and into every man's dreams.
This summer, the actress re-teams with Michael Bay -- following their reconciliation -- for another film adaptation of a classic cartoon, "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles." Since breaking out, Fox has been seen in "Jennifer's Body" and "This Is 40," gotten married to her longtime boyfriend, Brian Austin Green, and popped out a couple kids. Now, she's back in action as April O'Neil and looking better than ever.
From her (not so) unusual fear to her connection to Eminem, here are 21 things you probably don't know about Megan Fox.
1. Megan Fox was born May 16, 1986 in Oak Ridge, Tennessee to Gloria Cisson and Franklin Thomas Fox.

Ten years ago tomorrow, a modestly-budgeted female-led high-school comedy opened across the U.S. Based on the debut feature script from a “Saturday Night Live” writer, adapted from a non-fiction self-help book, starring a coterie of largely unknown faces, and centering on a Disney contract player who’d had a big hit the year before with “Freaky Friday” but a miss earlier in 2004 with “Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen,” the film is a rare example of bottled lightning, of a whole that adds up to much more than the sum of the seemingly fairly standard parts. Why else would we be sitting down to write about “Mean Girls” on its 10th birthday? Financially, the film, directed by Mark Waters (whose own subsequent career, “Mr. Popper’s Penguins,“ “Ghosts of Girlfriends Past,” has been less stellar), was undoubtedly a hit, but not one that, like “Freaky Friday” before it, crossed the all-important $100m domestic marker.

You don’t get extra life points for never having walked out of a movie; just like you don’t get any for having walked out on one. So for the movie aficionados who dare not leave the cinema before the closing curtain, calm down, this won’t hurt you. What I do have though from my experiences as a young movie dodger are a few anecdotes of when and why I walked out. I adore movies and have made a life from that, I can’t see myself walking out of a movie anymore. I have become desensitized to the garbage that unfortunately finds its way in front of my eyes sometimes.
I’m more critical in where my time and money goes at the theater, so I’d have no one to blame but myself for seeing a bad movie these days. It’s all about choices, and these were bad ones.

Gina Gershon is set to star in a new original TV movie for the Lifetime network based on the life of Donatella Versace, the very blonde, very tan vice president and chief designed of the Versace Group. "House of Versace" will focus on the luxury designer's rise in the fashion world after her brother's tragic slaying in 1997. Sara Sugarman ("Vinyl," "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen") will direct from a script by Rama Stagner ("Blue Sky," "American Dreams"). Accompanying Gershon in the cast are Raquel Welch (as Lucia), Enrico Colantoni (as Gianni Versace) and Colm Feore (as Santo). The film is based on Wall Street Journal investigative reporter Deborah Balls book "House of Versace: The Untold Story of Genius, Murder, and Survival," which explored Gianni Versace's murder, Donatella Versace's drug addiction and the reemergence of the Versace brand. "House of Versace" premieres October 5 on Lifetime, the latest...

"Mean Girls" was unleashed into theaters nine years ago today -- and the stars of the movie haven't been the same since. When the movie was released on April 30, 2004, Lindsay Lohan was still a Disney girl, coming off squeaky clean movies like "Freaky Friday" and "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen.""Mean Girls" made her a superstar. Timing has always been an issue for Lindsay Lohan, who arrived 48 minutes late for her scheduled hearing at an L.A. courthouse March 18. The Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen actress had traveled from New York City to L.A. via private jet, which was diverted from Van Nuys airport to Lax in an effort to minimize Lindsay's vehicular commute. Upon her tardy arrival, Lindsay and her attorney, Mike Heller, were showered with glitter as photographers swarmed the courthouse. (The star was similarly [...]...

For director Sara Sugarman, her latest project Vinyl was very much a going back to her roots job, as her first film since Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen not only takes her back to her hometown of Rhyl, Wales, but also to a story somewhat familiar to her. We were fortunate enough to sit down and discuss Vinyl with the filmmaker and one of her leading stars Jamie Blackley.
The pair discuss the intimate set and community feel, as well as working alongside the likes of Phil Daniels and Keith Allen. Blackley, who also starred in Snow White and the Huntsman, talks of his own experience on this feature, in a feel-good feature that certainly seems to have had as much of a jovial impact on the cast and crew as it will no doubt have on its audiences following its theatrical release this coming Friday March 15.

Following on from director Sara Sugarman’s unsatisfying teen flick Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, the filmmaker has returned to her roots somewhat, this time staying closer to home –as she presents Vinyl, not only shot in her hometown of Rhyl, Wales, but also telling the true story of a punk band’s great rock and roll swindle; a band she knows all too well (she dated the bassist, innit).
Based on the real life occurrences surrounding Mike Peters’ band The Alarm, we focus on Weapons of Happiness, a punk four piece who had enjoyed relative success in their prime, yet split up due to the greed and careless irresponsibility of frontman Johnny Jones (Phil Daniels). However when they are reunited for the first time in years at a funeral, Johnny and the other band members (Keith Allen, Perry Benson, Christopher Roy Turner) take a trip down memory lane and,...

There's no drama between Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen costars Megan Fox and Lindsay Lohan. In the February issue of Esquire, Fox briefly mentioned the actress -- who has been arrested six times since they both appeared in the 2004 teen comedy -- while explaining her decision to have a tattoo of Marilyn Monroe removed from her right forearm. "I started reading about her and realized that her life was incredibly difficult. It's like when you visualize something for your future. I didn't want to visualize [...]...
