Once again, pointing out the problem without providing solutions
zzmale5 April 2004
The literal translation of the title of this movie is: Fish Poachers.

This movie should be classified as crime/action, because although it might be action packed, it is actually a crime movie about how cops fought fish poaching, and like most crime movies in China, this one is also based on the true story that really happened in real life.

The shortcoming of this movie is that just like other Chinese crime movies, particularly those about anti-artifacts smuggling, this movie also just pointed out the problem without providing any solutions, because the profits of poaching is simply too high in comparison to other legitimate business practice, just like smuggling the artifacts, and therefore, this piece of social criticism is not complete.
