Compelling movie
searchanddestroy-113 January 2022
I guess this film is a kind of tribute to Bourvil in FORTUNAT, where the great actor also played a character, a simle minded dude whose name was Noël, as in this film. Also a topic telling the story of a simple but kind, gentle man. This very but underrated film is very sensitive movie, poignant, where Bruno Lochet brings one of his best performances ever, with this man so close to nature and animals. If you like countryside and peasant world, you'll also live this feature that makes you think about the meaning of life and also maybe about yourself, especially if you are depressed and in search of a purpose to live. A bit gloomy too, but that's worth watching. I also reminded Karim Leklou in COUP DE CHAUD, back in 2015.
