I have followed Michelle Crain from the small stage in NY to her larger exploit's in LA. I found her performance in Prodigy to be edgy and a departure from her usual classical acting style. While I felt Prodigy was a little on the predictable side, and somewhat overly violent (for my taste at least) for a short film it did the job. Aside from Ms. Crain I did not recognize the rest of the cast or the director, but for the most part the acting and directing were sufficient to allow Ms. Crain to do her thing. I would recommend this film to anyone who has enjoyed and followed Ms. Crain's career. If you are not a Michelle Crain fan, or are not familiar with her work, then I would say this film does not distinguish itself terribly, but still worth a look.
