16 of the most disturbing minutes of my life. They haunt me still.

Warning: Spoilers
Caution! Spoilers!

I saw this film by accident as a short before a feature, Hardware. I think it safe to say that the lady I was with and I, as well as the entire of the audience, were shocked speechless by this film. It rates up there with two other short films of memory. The animated version of Jabberwocky (where dolls melt each other down on a stove fueled by more doll parts) and Star Spangled Banner (which memory says consisted of forest, running, gunfire and highlights).

Sounds bad doesn't it? It isn't, but it is shocking. A film about motherhood in the extreme and the bond between mother and child. It will leave you with vivid memories that make great conversation pieces, years after the film is viewed.

Worth watching if you can find it.

Best graduate film ever!

I was at the same screening of Hardware, and was equally freaked out by the opening short. At a time when even New Zealand was making better genre, It gave me hope 4 a bright future for OZ grown horror film. Ever since that night I have been trying to find a copy. Going as far as contacting AFTRS. On the net, I've only found a little loop of the mutant babies. But that was years back, and seems lost somewhere in cyberspace. The filmmakers names, have only popped up as writers in an early 'black+white' mag. I saw actor Jeremy Sims in public, but was to shy 2 ask about old show reels. So if your out there -James! release a DVD, make a feature, your shits cool!
