Sex & Nudity

  • 48:00 - 50:18 : Chris enters a backstage (makeup) room of the theatre, where (at least 16) women are in thongs and bras. For his opinion, they lineup topless, in very thin thongs; he takes detailed look of their breasts (breasts not visible to viewers).
  • Carter thinks the woman he nearly slept with was a man, when she takes her wig off, and he references the crying games and brokeback mountain
  • A man is implied to have told a group of women to undress down to their thongs. They are wearing underwear but their buttocks are shown for a few seconds quite clearly. Their breasts are not visible.
  • Women are dancing on stage and tear off their pants, revealing their underwear.
  • A woman wears suggestive clothing and performs a sensual dance in front of a crowd. Viewers see a little bit of her buttocks.
  • A shirtless man and a woman in her underwear (cleavage on her buttocks and breasts), engage in foreplay and prepare to have sexual intercourse. They are interrupted.
  • A man and woman fight, but a man with his ear to the door believes they are having sex and makes several explicit sexual comments.
  • A man says that French women are naked 34% of the time, and he smiles at this.
  • The movie is filled with innuendos and sexual comments, some explicit and others mild.
  • A French police officer is implied to perform anal probe on two men (offscreen, but very implied). They are seen walking uncomfortably out of the building.

Violence & Gore

  • A woman is kicked and falls into a rotating wheel (we hear ripping sounds and see the shocked expression of bystanders, implying that she was decapitated).
  • There's an intense chase in which several attackers pursue three men in a taxi. Two men inside fight men who climb on the taxi, and several vehicles crash. An attacker on a motorcycle hangs onto the taxi but is punched and kicked by a man inside, and he falls out of the taxi and rolls across the street into a tree.
  • There's a funny fight in a dojo in which a large man fights two other men.
  • A man shoots another man in the back (not graphic).
  • A man threatens a cab driver and puts a gun to his head. Meant to be humorous.
  • A man is shot in the back; he stumbles forward and falls into a pool (we see some blood pour out).
  • There's a fight scene in a room above a bar between a man and a woman. The woman throws many blades, but the man manages to escape.
  • A woman is shot in the arm (we see some blood).
  • There's a shootout/fight in a hospital between two cops and several attackers. A woman helps the cops fight several men, and one of the cops shoots several others (not graphic).

Profanity

  • As a nun is translating what a man is saying, she implies that 'wh*re' was said and states the 'n-word' was used.
  • 'Sh*t' is said 19 times, including one implied and another paired with 'bull'.
  • '*ss' is said 16 times, including one paired with 'hole'.
  • 'D*mn' is said 18 times.
  • 'Godd*mn' is said three times, including one implied.

  • 19 uses of "shit" (one of them implied, another paired with "bull"), 16 uses of "ass" (1 used of as "asshole"), 18 uses of "damn," 3 uses of "goddamn" (one of them implied), 12 uses of "hell," 5 uses of "whore" (4 of them implied), 1 use of "piss," 6 uses of "God," and 2 uses of "Jesus." In addition, there is 1 use of the French vulgar word "merde" (shit).

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • A French cab driver smokes a cigarette in his car.
  • Characters drink in several scenes; some smoking.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • An assassin is captured and then interrogated roughly by two police officers (this is done in a comic manner). The scene ends when one of the officers puts a gun to the assassin's head and threatens to kill him.
  • The film focuses on two police officers trying to stop a criminal organization from killing people.
  • The many scenes of fighting and gunfire may be difficult for some viewers.
  • The final sequence upon the Eiffel Tower is somewhat intense.

Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

  • There's a long final fight in which two men fight with swords while a third man fights several other attackers in the Eiffel Tower. The two men eventually move outside, and one chases the other along the tower, however one eventually falls to his death.

Profanity

  • The "French Asian" says the N-Word in French and the nun who translates doesn't actually say it but then Carter says "you tell this motherf" but Lee cuts him off and warns him she's a nun and the "French Asian" calls Lee a word that means cat (probably pussy) and a word that rhymes with maggot (probably faggot) and Lee tells the nun to call the "French Asian" an asshole.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Lee is holding Kenji from falling to his death on the Eiffel Tower, but Kenji sadly gives Lee a goodbye then willingly lets go of Lee and falls to his death. The scene could be sad to some viewers.
