Back during our set visit for Fear The Walking Dead’s third season, we had to sign a rather frightening non-disclosure form, which has become a standard process to prevent naughty journalists from spoiling content before they’re supposed to, but it was only after viewing the first few episodes of season three that it became apparent quite how critical secrecy was.
Within a heartbeat we’d had the death of Travis, Maddie spooning a psychotic Troy’s eye and then, of course, the oft-theorised return of Daniel Salazar. The level of security around his return was such that whilst on set,...

We chatted to actor Luke Newberry about his BBC Radio 4 Home Front role, In The Flesh, getting his start in acting and more…
“I’m still umm-ing, how annoying for you!” he says, but interviewing Luke Newberry isn’t annoying in the least. He’s at pains to give proper answers to questions, literally so judging by some of the noises he makes in our half-hour chat. His frustrated ‘aaghs’ and ‘ooohs’ and ‘umms’ are the sound of someone who doesn’t have a ready-made patter and who doesn’t want to just say any old thing.

The Walking Dead star and director talk about what's coming in season 6, the future of Alexandria, and the raging grief of Rick Grimes...
Spoilers for anyone not up to date with The Walking Dead.
I've long extolled the virtues of Andrew Lincoln’s character in The Walking Dead, Rick Grimes, as one who immediately invoked sympathy. From Rick’s unwanted initial push to group leader, through to the tragic loss of his wife, his bitey, bearded rage and recent relapse into a one-man killing spree that inspired even the most timid of Alexandrians to take up arms and mush some zombie brains, it's impossible not to feel for him. You may question Rick's decisions over the years, but you certainly can't question Andrew Lincoln’s fiercely committed performance.

It's been a busy fall for young actress Kaitlyn Dever, who appears in Lynn Shelton's Laggies, out Friday, and stars in Jason Reitman's Men, Women & Children. Dever proved her formidable acting chops in last year's Short Term 12 playing an abused teen in a foster-care facility—look no further than the scene in which she reads a children's story her character wrote about an octopus. In the scene, Dever let's her character's disconnected, tough façade slip away. Her performance in that movie and The Spectacular Now got her labeled the "Summer's Indie It Flick Queen" by Teen Vogue.

Jennifer Hudson has tapped super-producer Timbaland for her soulful new single "Walk It Out.” Listen below. The nearly five-minute jam pairs Hudson’s diva vocals with old-school beats and R&B samples. In addition to his producer credit alongside J-Roc, Timbaland jumps into the song with playful ad-libs. JHud confidently delivers sultry lines like, “I know you wanna take me to your room / And I wanna go your way / But you gotta treat me like a lady.” "Walk It Out” will be featured on Hudson’s follow-up to 2011’s “I Remember Me,” slated for release this summer. Earlier this year, Hudson revealed that she’s also collaborating with Pharrell Williams and R. Kelly on the new album.

James Corden has revealed that he will not be singing in the upcoming film One Chance.
The Gavin & Stacey actor portrays original Britain's Got Talent winner and opera singer Paul Potts in the biopic.
However, Potts's own vocals will be used to dub over Corden's lip-synching in the film, he confirmed to The AP.
Speaking at the Toronto Film Festival, Corden explained: "It was very, very straightforward. I would pretend to be singing opera, and then Paul would go into the studio and loop to my mouth.
"I hope I haven't given it away too much, but that's basically what happened."
Taylor Swift has also revealed that she has written a song for the movie for Corden's co-star Alexandra Roach to perform in the film.

Bowlcuts, wide trousers, bad weather – it's Madchester all over again as Laura Barton spends a day in a field with the makers of Spike Island, a film about a legendary Stone Roses show
Once the birthplace of the British chemical industry and later a toxic wasteground, the area of reclaimed woodland and wetland known as Spike Island gained a certain notoriety in May 1990 as the venue for the Stone Roses' Sunset Sunday gig. With a crowd of 27,000, the show in this once-industrial area of Widnes in Cheshire has become the stuff of Madchester legend, rhapsodised, euologised, recounted ad infinitum. This summer, that gig and the band's later reunion are commemorated in two film releases: Made of Stone, a documentary made by Shane Meadows; and Spike Island, a drama directed by Matt Whitecross.

At 38, Jewel has plenty of life experience to draw from and even speaks in what sounds like verses to a poem she once wrote. Humbled by a moment when she heard her own song, "Hands," on the radio after America had been attacked on that chilling day in 2001, the once homeless four-time Grammy award nominee still remembers a time when she was just a teenager, convinced she "was going to end up in [her] car again."
Jewel is not afraid to wear her stories on her sleeve, and perhaps it's that conscious honesty and authenticity that allows her to sing from a different place. The co-founder of Invisible Children, the group behind the extremely viral "Kony 2012" video, was detained by police and eventually checked into a psychiatric hospital in March after he was found naked, disrupting traffic and screaming incoherently on a busy street corner.
The 33-year-old and his wife, Danica, will talk about the incident, which was initially chalked up to dehydration and a brief, reactive psychosis, on an episode of "Oprah's Next Chapter," set to air Oct. 7th.
Oprah's Own network teased a bit of the interview during Sunday's sit down between the talk show superstar and Stephen Colbert, and an excerpt of the transcript was also released to TMZ.

Back before the dawn of time when I was in college, there was a neighborhood a few blocks off campus of rental duplexes mostly inhabited by college kids. A lot of them had dogs, and the dogs would pal around together, running up and down in a pack between the duplexes. One of those dogs was Sebastian.
Sebastian was a boxer, about knee-high, and even though he had that grumpy, furrow-browed face boxers have, he was actually a sweet-natured, everybody-pet-me thing. Although he was the tallest of the dogs, he always had trouble keeping up with the rest of the pack because poor Sebastian only had three legs, having lost one after being hit by a car (in that politically incorrect way college kids have, we nicknamed him “Tripod” – insensitive, but granted with affection, I assure you).

"American Idol" kicks off its 11th season Wednesday night with its first of eight audition episodes. But before we're inundated with a new batch of contestants (many of whom we'll forget about by June), let's play catch-up with some noteworthy alums.
Sure, our Kellys and Carries have remained household names throughout the years, but others — like Katharine McPhee and Leah Labelle — are poised to have their biggest post-"Idol" years yet.
Let's check in with standouts from seasons one through five:

The One You Know: Kelly Clarkson's fifth studio album, Stronger, is selling just fine, even if recent "Ron Paul sales bump" rumors were proven to be a bunch of hooey. The original Idol just kicked off her latest tour last week.

Following the tragic murder of her mother, brother and nephew in October 2008, Jennifer Hudson took a sabbatical from the music industry to focus on her family and recovery. She made her emotional comeback to performing the Star Spangled Banner at the Superbowl in February 2009, and in a new interview with NBC's Dateline, Hudson says that it was inspired by hearing encouragement from her late family members.
"Well, I felt as though I had to. Again, just the same as I hear my mother's voice in my head, I can hear my brother's voice in my head. And he-- they, like, everybody, it's like, is she ever gonna sing again? Is she gonna-- you know?" Hudson told Lester Holt in an interview scheduled to air January 8th.

Craig Skinner is our man at Film4′s Frightfest and he brings us news of Jason Eisener’s new film as Hobo with a Shotgun’s Director of Photography, Karim Hussain, has revealed the title of the director’s next film: Blatant Violence High.
Hussain was on stage for a Q&A about the horrothology film The Theater Bizarre and dropped the name into the conversation. As far as we know this is the first time Eisener’s feature follow up to Hobo has been referred to by its full title.
In an interview Craig conducted with Eisener to promote Hobo with a Shotgun the director gave a few choice hints about his next film, beyond his ‘N’ in The ABCs of Death; some are specific and others give a flavour of his inspirations for movie making in general.
On his influences…
A lot of it comes from growing up in the eighties.

Beginning life as a ‘fake’ trailer, made as part of a competition tied to the release of Grindhouse, Hobo with a Shotgun is now a fully fledged feature film and on July the 15th it finally reaches UK cinemas. “Delivering justice, one shell at a time” in the role of the titular Hobo is Rutger Hauer and accompanying him in ‘Scum Town’ are Pasha Ebrahimi, Robb Wells, Brian Downey and many more.
Hobo with a Shotgun is directed by Jason Eisener and we were recently given the opportunity to speak to him. Below is a transcription of our discussion.
There are films like Dead End Drive-in that seem to be big influences on you and their influence is clearly evident in Hobo. What were your key influences and how did you decide to incorporate them?
Me and John, the writer of the film, are best friends and grew up together.

Jennifer Hudson wakes up with gloomy mood in a music video for her latest single "No One Gonna Love You". The former contestant of "American Idol" is upset with her man because when she mentions about celebrating their anniversary together, he just shrugs it off.
Beside focusing on the love story, the clip also features J-Hud strutting her stuff in a chair-dance sequence. "This is the first time that I've had the chance to dance," she said. "But it was probably the part I anticipated the most and I actually had a lot of fun. I thought I accomplished it. You be the judge."
The music video is directed by Diane Martel and has Hassan Johnson as her love interest. The song, meanwhile, is lifted from Jennifer's latest studio installment "I Remember Me" which has been in stores since earlier this year.

The singer/actress was left devastated following the death of her mum Darnell Donerson, sibling Jason Hudson and her sister's seven-year-old son Julian King, who were shot in her native Chicago, Illinois in 2008. Jennifer Hudson's former brother-in-law William Balfour has pleaded not guilty to three counts of first degree murder in relation to the killings.

Jennifer Hudson's 20-month-old son recognizes her music. The singer-and-actress loves playing her new album "I Remember Me" to baby David because he is already showing signs of musical ability, which she thinks comes from her performing live during her pregnancy.
She said, "I love to share it with my baby, he's so musical himself. It makes it that much more worthwhile to know that when he hears it he knows it's me. It makes it that much more precious to share it with someone."

She said: “I love to share it with my baby, he's so musical himself. It makes it that much more worthwhile to know that when he hears it he knows it’s me. It makes it that much more precious to share it with someone.
“When I was on tour I was pregnant with him and I guess he could hear me singing then, so he knows when he hears his mummy's voice. I sing to him at night, that's one way to calm him down or entertain him through music. He sings back to me too."

It's a bit early to call it a changing of the guard, but British songbird Adele will make a strong case that she is a major force to be reckoned with on the Billboard charts next week when her album 21 retakes the #1 spot.
Thanks to sales of 88,000, according to Nielsen SoundScan, Adele pulls the feat off — her fourth non-consecutive week at #1 since the album's release in late February — while forcing last week's #1, Britney Spears' Femme Fatale, down to #2.
Spears' highly anticipated new effort suffers a steep drop-off in its second chart cycle, plunging 73 percent on sales of 75,000, for a two-week total of 352,000. In contrast, Adele has pushed past the 1 million mark in seven weeks to notch the best-selling album of 2011 to date.

Los Angeles -- Talk about a Tko.
Legendary boxer Sugar Ray Leonard was knocked out of the "Dancing With the Stars" ballroom Tuesday – one night after earning his highest scores on the hit ABC show.
Leonard and his professional partner, Anna Trebunskaya, collected 21 points out of 30 for their Viennese waltz on Monday's episode, but viewers failed to keep them as contenders in the competition.
Judges' scores are combined with viewer votes to determine which celebrity is ousted each week.
"That's life, and I put up a good fight," Leonard said. "I will cherish this moment: great friends, great people, great show."
Host Tom Bergeron called the 54-year-old Olympian "the heart of the show this season."
Trebunskaya said she and Leonard had fun together.
"The boxer became a ballet dancer!" she said.
Tuesday's episode also included a performance by Jennifer Hudson, who sang "Don't Look Down" and "Feeling Good" from her latest album,...

Jennifer Hudson can sing. And that really stands out on a dance competition show.
The "Idol" contestant turned Oscar winner performed two songs from her new album "I Remember Me" on Tuesday's "Dancing with the Stars."
First, Hudson -- totally kicking it in a fab purple mini dress and a pair of matching heels -- belted out the up-tempo "Don't Look Down" as Karina Smirnoff and Louis Van Amstel did their best to distract us. It didn't work. J-Hud had us at hello.
Later in the show, she was back -- still in the purple frock (points for no diva-esque costume change) -- to sing "Feeling Good," a retro-y big band number that slowed down the pace and has us ready to download "I Remember Me."...

Britney Spears is victorious on Billboard Hot 200 this week. The 29-year-old pop singer rules the U.S. albums chart with her newly-released studio installment "Femme Fatale" which has scanned 276,000 copies in its first week on sale.
It's Britney's second-lowest opening sales after her debut effort "...Baby One More Time" pulled in a smaller figure (121,000 at No. 1) in 1999. Although the "Femme Fatale" number couldn't match the first-week sale of her previous "Circus" (506,000), it's enough to lead her scoring her sixth chart-topping album.
This achievement makes Britney one of female artists with the third-most No. 1 albums along with Mariah Carey and Janet Jackson. Ahead of her, there are Madonna with seven chart toppers, and Barbra Streisand with nine.
Back to the chart, Wiz Khalifa follows behind Britney with "Rolling Papers" which claims the second spot with 197,000 units sold. The other new entries are Radiohead's "King of Limbs" at No. 6 (69,000), Snoop Dogg's "Doggumentary" at No.
