I do actively seek bad movies, for comedy value really but what bugged me about this one is that the idea had potential. The general idea is this guy murders his wife and spends all night driving to ditch the body, gradually going slightly insane, seeing things and getting paranoid etc. Nothing new or exciting but the premise behind a potentially watchable movie.

I can save you a good few hours of your life right now with a step by step of 'Haunted Highway'

Guy driving, then pulling over for some reason, then driving again, then pulling over, then driving, uh oh a police officer, no he's clueless, guy driving, a ghost argh, ditch the body, guy goes home, kills Japanese mistress, oh no the police, end.

Nothing happened throughout the entire duration of the damn film! The acting was awful and god knows they didn't need a scene of the dude rocking out in his car. Oh also almost everyone in the credits is Japanese, and there's only one Japanese actress in it, that seems odd to me.

There's no good excuse to watch it.

This movie was in the "new release" flyer at Family Video so we gave it a try. Although it was obviously a fairly low-budget film, I was surprised at how overall it kept us interest until the very end.

Some of the special effects are hinky and not believable, especially the bright red blood on a sheet would be brown after being in the trunk for a few hours, so it is not likely to interest the younger crowd that is used to high-budget special effect.

However, if you are fan of Edgar Allan Poe's and enjoy a story that shows a man's descent into madness, you will enjoy this movie up to the very end.
