Decent for 1922--not much when you see it today.

"The Stone Age" is an early Felix the Cat cartoon and for 1922, it's not at all bad. Now when you see it today, you might be inclined to immediately dismiss it, as the cartoon is very primitive in style. The backgrounds are black ink with no shading and the cel count per second is low--making for jerky movement. However, this was the norm for the time as the finer quality drawings and backgrounds hadn't even been envisioned yet and sound was in its very infancy. So, for its time it's pretty good.

The film consists of Felix running about in caveman times. In one instance, a cavewoman wants a new coat and tells her husband to make one out of poor Felix. In another, Felix infuriates a huge ape. None of it is especially memorable but it is worth your time if you are a fan of early animation like I am.
