Sex & Nudity

  • The entire film is about sex. No sexual activity is shown, and only limited nudity. The faces of clothed women are seen during a narration from de Sade that urges young women to reject the shackles of conventional (for the time) morality. Recommendations include to reject marriage, be wanton, f*ck your father. The tone is typified by a man stating that he will destroy a woman's maidenhood and her "flower of Sodom." Descriptions of sex acts are explicit and vulgar.
  • Two women are seen nude in slow, close-up, full front and full rear scans of each woman's body. One other female butt is seen.

Violence & Gore

  • The narrations states that one woman shall have her orifices sewn shut, with negative consequences.
  • Another woman states that a man likes her to defecate in his mouth.

Profanity

  • As English subtitled on DVD, "fuck", "cunt", "arse", and "shit" are used in their literal senses.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • A description of torturous treatment of one person might disturb sensitive viewers.
