Just what I needed...
jaclat97012 October 2001
Hi!

I actually saw this film last night on TV, and I must say it's as weird as it gets. But, I have to admit it's just what I needed. After what has happened on 9/11/01, it was hard for me to find anything other than the destruction, and mentioning of war and death. So, channel surfing, I stumbled upon your movie (from the beginning, to my surprise) and well, I felt like I was in another world. The plot at the time was hard to follow, but just looking at it kept my attention.

I visited your site today and read more about this film, and I agree with your challenge that you don't need car chasing or gory horror to send a message. I'm impressed with how all these cute macho dolls were used in this movie. Just Aurora and all these yarn guys, and that's all the action that was needed. I was like that as a kid with my cabbage patches. You guys made me feel so sentimental after the film was over. I guess that's the only way I could relate after the first look.

But, now I know a little more, and I'm impressed. I apologize that this email is long, but I wanted to tell you how I felt while it's on my mind. Mucho props to everyone involved with "Angel With An Attitude."

An interesting Idea

This movie is unique in that it only has one on screen actor, who interacts with off screen voice-overs. As such it demanded a great deal from the one performer.

The music in the movie is excellent, and the concepts are unique. The truly creative work is now being done by the independent movie producer.

A UNIQUE DIVERSION
flimbuff4 April 2002
We don't see many one actor plays anymore and that is what this is. Our heroine, Aurora, played by newcomer Barbara Harrington, is an Angel sent back to Earth to try and stop the evil "Macho" from buying earthbound companies and dismantling them for his profit. Perhaps this should be required viewing for our SEC and government 'trustbusters'. The satire is pleasant and on point but it doesn't quite take itself seriously enough and the dialogue is far too "valleyish" or "hokey". The production and sets are quite good especially considering the budget restraints that the film operated under. All things considered this a very good effort from a very creative mind, Kaufmann.
