This Mexican-made, Spanish-language 1949 version is unavailable on DVD. It can only be seen on Hispanic channel movie channels with the 1930's film credits. Overly dramatic tale of a woman destroyed by her numerous lovers' lies and her own gullibility. She starts out in a small town, living with her father when a slick article comes to town, makes her fall in love with him, and she gives herself to him. Then HIS WIFE comes to pick him up, not caring over much about his infidelities. The girl's father finds out his daughter's disgrace, confronts the gigolo, dies in the process, cursing his daughter for the family disgrace. She then starts on the road to perdition, turning herself over to men, even when it's clear to her, who intend no good to her. It all ends when she finds what she believes is true love with a young seaman. Then to their mutual horror they find out they are siblings. She ends it all by tossing herself into rough seas. This poor woman never catch's one good break, but some of it is her own dumb fault. Object lesson to all young girls eager for love (even in this enlightened day). When something sounds too good to be true, it is too good to be true.
