This is a black and white short film that was made in France. It consists of a woman in a slip getting out of bed as her entire apartment comes pressing down against her. The ceiling literally pushes down and there is nothing she can do about it but spend the entire short film screaming. And, at the end, when things FINALLY look like there might be an end in sight, there is a minor twist.
This short film apparently received awards at the Cannes Film Festival in 1990, though for the life of me I cannot see why. While the film is definitely creepy and has some nice special effects, there really isn't a story here--just a snippet of one. There is no context, no story--just a woman being crushed by her house. Not a whole lot of depth here. Usually such films are NOT adored by the film festivals, so I am surprised at this choice. It must have been a slow year.
