"L'homme Mouche" ("The Human Fly") is a clever little film from Georges Méliès that, unfortunately, is VERY fuzzy and is in need of some sort of conservation. It's actually surprising, as the hand-painted print is GORGEOUS when it comes to the colors...very vibrant and much nicer than most other early hand-colored films.
The plot is very simple. A Russian dancer (flanked by pretty girls on each side) is really good at his dancing...so much that he begins dancing on the walls. It's a pretty neat effect for 1902 and is a good film for the director....but oh, is it fuzzy and out of focus!
