Nice music.....did I say that it had nice music?

In a small Welsh town, a local character (a gypsy violinist) has died. The residents all seemed to like him and go to his funeral, but it's so windy that it's hard to hear the service at the grave site and the musical tribute is also darn tough to hear.

With independent shorts, I often cut them a lot of slack and rate them a little more kindly than I do the big pictures. After all, in many cases these films are a training ground for the writers, actors and directors of the future. So in light of this, I'll point out that the music, direction and acting were all just fine. In fact, the gypsy music was rather catchy. And so, for these less experienced professionals, it was a decent start and they have every reason to feel good about this effort. In the future, though, I would really prefer that the story itself be more interesting and involving--it just didn't catch my interest at all and it all just seemed a bit disappointing.
