Expose on the Cannes Film Festival
emmatimor7 January 2003
Riveting from beginning to end. Thanks to the enormously entertaining characters the director picked to follow, I feel I know the festival inside out.

This is an intelligent, funny and ultimately sad portrait of the film industry as it spirals out of control.

Highly recommended.

A truly fascinating behind-the-scenes doc of the Cannes Film Festival
thegaz5 January 2003
This doc is both an insightful and entertaining expose of the under belly of the festival. It depicts the various participants on an emotional roller coaster, a ride we share as we go behind the scenes to watch their moments of success and failure. All their inherent insecurities are blatantly exposed as they posture and preen, greedy for fame, in what Smith clearly reveals as a less than glamorous pursuit. You cannot fail to have a good time watching this movie...who doesn't like to see our celebs stripped bare of their artifice and revealed to have warts and all just like the rest of us. Director Smith artfully and unintrusively captures it all!
