Gleem is probably somewhere in my favorite 25 movies of all time -- and perhaps the defining film of the "clockwave" genre. That's saying a lot considering it's only 2 minutes long! Seriously, this movie helped redefine what a short film is capable of, both in cultural impact as well as dramatic content. I'd go so far as to say this is probably the best movie of 1974. I did think it ran long slightly, but that can be said of many great films. Sadly, I haven't seen Gleem released on DVD yet, but hopefully it will be soon. Gleem is an under-rated gem and deserves to be re-released soon. If you ever have the chance to see Gleem, please don't pass it up -- You won't be disappointed.
