Sidney Drew loses his job. He takes it easily enough, waving at the cashier, and finding a newspaper with a help wanted ad. He soon cinches the job of being a professional scapegoat for a department store. When a customer complains, Drew is summoned from his game of solitaire to take the blame and be fired. He offers the same reaction each time, which satisfies the often confused customer.
