If you’re wondering what’s new on Amazon Prime Video in June, the answer is a lot. The streamer has a solid slate of movies heading into summer 2023. From the first two “Creed” films to “Love, Rosie,” “Yours, Mine & Ours” and other clever romantic comedies, the streamer has a range of options for viewers with different tastes. Newer theatrical releases arriving on the streamer in June include “TÁR,” “Armageddon Time,” and “M3GAN.”
TV premieres to look forward to include Boots Riley’s “I’m A Virgo” and the fourth and final season of John Krasinski’s “Jack Ryan.” “Crazy Rich Asians” arrives early in June, followed by “Interstellar” for all Christopher Nolan and Matthew McConaughey lovers. Even though “The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes” doesn’t release in theaters until November, all four “Hunger Games” films land on Prime Video this June. Perfect timing — maybe even with a reread...

With its list of new releases for June 2023, Prime is bringing a handful of Amazon Originals and many recent movie hits to the fold.
It’s actually quite a busy month for non-American programming in Amazon Originals department. Shows and movies like Deadloch, My Fault, and Medellín all originate from outside the U.S. and U.K. For the American and British crowd, however, the streamer is debuting two big tentpoles.
The first is I’m a Virgo on June 23. Acclaimed director Boots Riley’s TV followup to Sorry to Bother You will tale the surreal and satirical tale of a giant in Oakland. That will be followed by the more conventional (assumedly) fourth season of Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan on June 30.
The real fireworks this month come from a ludicrously deep bench of library TV and movie titles. Give them a look for yourself below but if we were to highlight just a few,...

The fourth and final season of “Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan” arrives on Prime Video on June 30. It finds Ryan — now the new acting CIA director — unearthing internal corruption and suspicious black ops that leaves the United States vulnerable to attack. John Krasinski stars as the tough-as-nails Ryan.

“Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets” is a new docuseries that reveals the truth behind the myth of the wholesome religious family and their involvement with the predatory Bill Gothard and The Institute in Basic Life Principles. The organization’s abusive practices — and the insidious long political game it plays — is revealed on June 2. The Duggars and their 19 “happy” kids are exposed as frauds, while also being manipulated by Gothard and enduring the scandal of Josh, their sexually abusive son.

Can you give us some info on your work as a videographer and director of music videos?
Almost all the production process including shooting is done by myself. As a videographer, I also participate in artist-in-residence documents and videos about art for people with disabilities.
As a music video director, I like works that have experimental expressions and concepts, and I often use liquids as motifs.

Films funded by and focused on particular Japanese cities have become a kind of a trend recently in local cinema, with titles like “Bento Harassment” and “Island of Cats” being the first that come to mind. Shunnosuke Iwata does the same with “Switchback” by placing his story in Obu, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the city’s founding, as part of a project designed to support local children who take up the central roles of the film.

Rei’s goal is to make them get to know the city better, and through a series of activities focusing on that, to move forward with their lives. Hulu’s list of new releases for June 2021 is highlighted by a host of useful library titles and one fascinating original film.
The original film in question is the one that lends its delightful photo of Pierce Brosnan delivering a baby to this post. False Positive stars and was written by Ilana Glazer (Broad City). It sounds like a really fun, creepy time with a synopsis that reads: “After months of trying and failing to get pregnant, Lucy (Glazer) and Adrian (Justin Theroux) finally find their dream fertility doctor in the illustrious Dr. Hindle (Pierce Brosnan). But after becoming pregnant with a healthy baby girl, Lucy begins to notice something sinister through Hindle’s gleaming charm, and she sets out to uncover the unsettling truth about him, and her own “birth story.” Cool!
Hulu’s other original offerings aren’t too inspiring this month. Only Love, Victor season 2 on June 11 moves the needle much.

Team Fun made an egg-xtremely bad moo-ve on Wednesday’s episode of “The Amazing Race.” After getting U-Turned by Nicole Franzel and Victor Arroyo, who were already U-Turned by Leo Temory and Jamal Zadran, Becca Droz and Floyd Pierce had to complete the second Detour, which tasked them with pole vaulting to collect a dozen eggs and two blocks of cheese and then delivering them via tandem bike to a market in Kampen, Netherlands. Team Fun made the pole vault Switchback look easy as hell, but they didn’t do the easiest thing of them all: check the eggs for cracks. One had a hairline fracture and so they had to do it all over again, pushing them to last place. But at least this time they finished Leg 10 instead of getting a mercy elimination like in Season 29 when Floyd came down with heatstroke.
So why didn’t they check the eggs?...

Good things come to those who wait, and fans of “The Amazing Race” have been waiting a long time to see Colin Guinn and Christie Woods race again. They’ll finally do so in Season 31’s clash between “Race,” “Survivor” and “Big Brother” veterans — 15 years and 26 seasons after they finished second in Season 5 and truly changed all of our lives for the better. Because when you think of all-time “Race” teams, Colin and Christie come to mind. And when you think of Colin, you think of one thing and one thing only, aka the greatest “Race” moment ever. I’m talking about, of course, “My ox is broken!”
It’s honestly difficult to overstate how legendary this meltdown (watch above) and this season was to non-“Race” and newer “Race” fans. Season 5 was arguably the series’ best, and a large part of that was due to Colin and Christie, who...

Danny Glover is a pickle of an actor. He displays phenomenal ability at times. He also is complete shit at other times, and occasionally makes some incredibly poor choices (Switchback, anyone?). His "I'm too old for this" shtick from the Lethal Weapon movies (personally, I'm still reeling from the fact that a) there are Four of those and b) ... I've seen all four) got tired in a hurry, to the point where it became its own punchline.
But still, he's a fine actor at times.
He's been making some poor choices is all I'm saying. The president in 2012, the eeeeevil army guy in Shooter... just look at his IMDb page. Dude has busy, but what he's been up to has not been great. So, you know, he needs a little shot in the arm, a piuck-me-up, a jumpstart to get his career revving again.
So, an adaptation of a classic...
