- A shootout takes place in a school near the end of the movie. One man is shot and wounded, another is fatally shot and a young child is held hostage at gunpoint.
- Mr. Kimble shouts at one of the children "Take it back!". This is done in a teaching context.
- Mr. Kimble shouts at the whole class to "SHUT UP" after the children make a big mess in the classroom. They gently cry as Mr. Kimble runs out of the classroom and outside the school. He randomly screams.
- A man lights up a bookshelf with lighter fluid and sets the school on fire.
- Dominic is taken hostage by Crisp and forces him to believe he is his father.
- The climax is very intense.
