Frightening & Intense Scenes
- The scene where Norman hits his head on the rock after his boat crashes may be intense. Additionally Ethel swims into save him. Other than his bump on the head there are no other injuries and everyone else survives.
- The movie deals a lot with an elderly man's discussions about death, and the fear he has of getting senile. Although nobody in the film dies, Norman does come very close at the end and until he is able to gain consciousness the last scene is pretty intense and may upset some.
- Norman and Chelsea have an estranged relationship as father and daughter and Norman makes many condescending comments to Chelsea as she does to her father. Near the end Chelsea realizes Norman does not have much life left to live and so they attempt to talk and reconcile. Although this scene does end on a happy note it starts off sad and some may find it depressing.
