Pink Parrot Media has secured a ScreenX format release for the 3D animated family feature Butterfly Tale, which is voiced by Orphan Black star Tatiana Maslany and Mena Massoud (Aladdin).
Korea’s Cj 4Dplex and Canadian producer Carpe Diem partnered to show the animated feature in the 270-degree panoramic ScreenX format in North America and internationally. The producers insist Butterfly Tale is the first 3D animated feature to be made in the ScreenX format from the pre-production stage.
Director Sophie Roy said challenges in making an animated ScreenX film included camera work and lighting. “Keeping the horizon equal throughout the three screens when the camera tilts was especially difficult and matching the light direction on all three screens took some serious work to make it all look seamless, a real challenge, but the results exceeded our expectations,” Roy said in a statement.

Juno-winning and Grammy-nominated Canadian pop singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes’ original song “Something Big” will feature on the soundtrack of upcoming 3D animated family feature, “Butterfly Tale.”
Montreal and Madrid-based international sales and distribution company Pink Parrot Media will represent the film at the upcoming Cannes film market.
“Butterfly Tale” is set along the diverse, picturesque, and ever-changing backdrop of the great Monarch butterfly migration. It tells the tale of Patrick, a gutsy and loveable yet inept, one-winged butterfly who stows away in a milkweed trailer in order to be part of the journey of a lifetime. With his best friend, a goofy caterpillar named Marty, and Jennifer, a butterfly who is afraid of heights, Patrick becomes an unlikely hero. But first, he must face his fear, embrace his uniqueness and triumph over adversity while battling changing weather patterns, humans and three evil birds bent on revenge.

The following contains spoilers for Doom Patrol season 2.
Coming into the sophomore season of a critically lauded show like Doom Patrol is no easy feat, yet newcomer Abigail Shapiro is currently winning rave reviews for her portrayal of Dorothy Spinner. The daughter of the crew’s leader, Niles Caulder a.k.a. The Chief, Dorothy is arguably the most powerful member of the strange superhero team as well as being an immortal stuck in the body of an 11-year-old girl. It’s an infinitely challenging role, which was exactly what drew the young actor to it. “She has this incredibly complex mind and has suffered through all of this trauma yet is still so innocent and childlike,” Shapiro says.
Though you might not have heard of Shapiro yet, she’s a Broadway actor with an impressive catalog of on-stage performances. The Florida-born thespian got her first starring role playing Cindy...

This Doom Patrol review contains spoilers.
Doom Patrol Season 2 Episode 4
The theme of families is a constant one in Doom Patrol, but this week the show leans heavily into the notion that our loved ones, especially parents, are the reason we’re all so screwed up. In a 1960s flashback, we see Danny The Street (and not yet a brick) and Niles trying to protect Dorothy by keeping her separated from the world. But they effectively treat her like a prisoner, a choice that is certain to haunt them as Candlemaker appears to be growing in strength.
Meanwhile, Rita’s orgasmic trip digs up a repressed memory of her mother sleeping with a producer to land her daughter a role, and Cliff seems to finally be coming to terms with the fact he wasn’t a great man when he was a man. As for Larry, his own self-loathing gets...

Annecy — Frédéric Puech, one of the movers and shakers on the French animation scene, has ankled Planet Nemo Animation, the Ankara production-distribution company he founded 15 years ago to create Play Big, a distribution company launched in partnership with Paris and Lille-based services and production entity Something Big.
As with Planet Nemo, Puech looks set with PlayBig to leverage his overseas expertise and contacts, especially in Asia, to further not only distribution but also production at Something Big. Offering “tailored creative and production services to third parties” including “script writing, design, storyboarding, editing, and compositing,” Something Big already counts on China’s Benlai Pictures (“Superbuilders”) and Japan’s Tezuka Productions (“Astro Boy”) as clients, Puech said in a brief written statement Sunday on the eve of the 2019 Annecy Intl. At the moment, there are two things that moviegoers want more than almost anything else in the world: Zack Snyder’s cut of Justice League, and the first trailer for Avengers: Infinity War. Truthfully, it’s tough to say which is in higher demand, and while we still don’t know if the former even exists, the latter is definitely out there, and it’ll be with us real soon. How soon, you ask? Well, if the Russo brothers are to be believed, it could arrive on December 3rd.
Admittedly, that remains unconfirmed by the studio, but here to add even more fuel to the fire is not so savvy social media user Mark Ruffalo, who plays Hulk in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The actor, who recently and accidentally leaked the first 10 minutes of Thor: Ragnarok onto Instagram, took to Twitter earlier today to drop the following tease: Something big is coming.

For a time, people were unsure about whether there would be a Season 5 of The Curse of Oak Island. On the one hand, it is one of the most popular TV shows that can be found on History, meaning that it would have been rather strange for it to pass up on the profit-making opportunities that it represents. On the other hand, there were a fair number of viewers who were less than impressed with Season 4, which came to a close in much the same manner as the previous seasons in spite of History’s rather extravagant claims. Regardless,

Josh Brolin is a very busy man. Next year, he’ll be playing two very iconic Marvel characters; Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War and Cable in Deadpool 2. And those are just his comic book movie gigs. Brolin must sure love doing superhero flicks, as these two are not his first, with Brolin also appeared as the lead in the best left forgotten Jonah Hex, and already showed up as Thanos twice in Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers: Age of Ultron, with yet another Thanos appearance set for Avengers 4. So, what draws Brolin to superhero movies, besides the paycheck?
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Brolin expressed his excitement about being involved in Avengers: Infinity War:
“I love doing Avengers, it’s maybe the most fun I’ve ever had. I just saw a little snippet of it, and it was amazing. The cutting-edge technology of what they’re doing...

Thor: Ragnarok is the next film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, so it’s time to get hyped (if you haven’t already). Though the film does not release until November, Marvel has shown us multiple glorious trailers and some pretty awesome posters for the film, but the real barrage of marketing has not begun… yet.
The teaser trailer for Ragnarok ended on the gladiator match between Hulk and Thor, but the second trailer from the film mostly shied away from it, instead focusing on the fun of Thor building a team; highlighting other moments from the film outside the "main event." But, a more recent “spot” on Twitter highlights the fight between the two Avengers, showing the two coming to blows with their fists. Check out the new footage now!

When you’re speaking to Roger Waters, there is no such thing as small talk. The mind responsible for some of the most ambitious productions in pop music history is constantly crackling with activity. Even seemingly innocuous questions, sure to elicit canned responses perfected over half a century of interviews, yield eloquent run-on sentences that jolt forward like a runaway train. The destination is often impossible to predict but, like his lyrics, the words are caustic, hilarious, cynical, hopeful and warm.

What will Sam and Dean’s legacy be?
The brothers discussed that topic and faced off with a god on Supernatural Season 12 Episode 18.
TV Fanatic staff writers Christine Laskodi and Sean McKenna and The Winchester Family Business’ Alice and Nightsky are ready to talk about it all, including Mary’s possible fate for the season.
So join in the latest Supernatural Round Table to chat about “The Memory Remains.”
What was your favorite scene or quote?
Alice: My favorite scene was the big showdown with the god in the meat locker. That was super creepy!
The way the whole scene was framed really built the suspense. There’s nothing like a deadly, blood-thirsty, goat-headed god to stalk Dean behind the slabs of meat in the dim red light.
Sure, we knew that Sam would bust in and save the day eventually, but still, his kill with the colt was all kinds of awesome.

Something big has to be coming as season 6 of “Game of Thrones” comes to an end. HBO is so tight-lipped about this year’s final two episodes that it isn’t even releasing its usual cryptic episode summaries. The closing episodes of each “GoT” season have proven to be game changers, from episode-long battles to huge deaths. These are the 12 episodes that “Battle of the Bastards” must top. 12.) “Mhysa” — Following the shock of the Red Wedding, this episode was bound to be a letdown. What a season finale, right?
Dead of Summer Season 1 Episode 10 found the campers all reunited, some in zombie form (the headless Blotter was a little too much, though), and had Jessie running for her life from Amy/Malphus, who couldn't leave as long as a part of Holyoke's soul lived in Jessie.
Below, TV Fanatics Yana Grebenyuk, Allison Nichols, and Caralynn Lippo discuss the killer finale, the fate of the survivors, their hopes for potential future seasons, and more!
React to Amy's killer game of hide and seek.
Yana: I was honestly worried for all of them. Her creepy killer antics never wavered and I was expecting them all to be killed. It was very American Psycho like which I appreciated. I also really enjoyed that we saw some familiar faces, I didn't know how much I needed that until they appeared. It's nice that they had an ending for each character,...

Something big this way comes, and it is an entirely new adaptation of a DC comic book property. Lionsgate has lined up the project, which will bring The Monolith to movie theatres – having enjoyed a 12 issue run between 2004 and 2005. Created by Justin Gray and Jimmy Palmiotti, the plot is a variation on the idea of the Golem – a legendary, destructive aberration made of clay.
The movie will mark the feature film debut of director Dave Wilson and writer Barnett Brettler. Despite his big screen inexperience, the name of Dave Wilson brings with it some weight, as his day job is in the role of creative director at Blur Studios. Blur is the brainchild of Tim Miller – director of box office hit, Deadpool.

Yep, that's an annoying phrase, but it still holds true as as we take a bit of a time jump at the beginning of Halt and Catch Fire Season 3 Episode 1.
It's 1986 and Mutiny has been successfully ensconced in what will become a very busy Silicon Valley for about six months.

There is a lot of room in the new digs, and a lot of new faces. Mutiny's customer base has expanded and there's a celebration for 100,000 users, a mainframe computer, and the expansion of John Bosworth's family. He has a new grandson.
But even as well as everything is going, there are still problems, and many followed them to California. Not that you can tell they're in California, just like it's not blatantly obvious the show takes place in 1986.

“Pete’s Dragon” is a cherished Disney story that follows the adventures of an orphaned boy (Oakes Fegley) and his best friend Elliott, who happens to be a dragon. Also starring Bryce Dallas Howard, Wes Bentley, Karl Urban and Robert Redford, the fantasy film is directed by David Lowery and promises to take the whole family on an epic adventure. Here’s what the critics are saying about the film so far.
IndieWire’s David Ehrlich gave the film a B+, calling it “an old Disney musical [that] becomes a new Disney classic.” He praises Lowery’s indie spirit by writing that it’s the summer’s best remake. “There may be individual shots in this movie that cost more than the director’s entire pre-existing output, but make no mistake: This is a David Lowery movie,” he writes. “A movie imbued with the same tactile nature and uniquely American flair...

One of Disney’s most anticipated movies is breaking with tradition by featuring a heroine who doesn’t have a love interest. “Moana,” the animated feature film about a 16-year-old girl in the South Pacific 2,000 years ago, is an inspiring story that won’t rely on a romance sub-plot to captivate audiences.

That was a wild installment, right?
Game of Thrones Season 6 Episode 9 gave our panelists a lot to discuss in the wake of the battle of the bastards.
TV Fanatics Meg Bonney, Jim Garner, Caralynn Lippo and Paul Dailly discuss Littlefinger showing up, Rickon's death and Sansa's dark side.
What did you think of the battles?
Meg: I liked that we were given more of a real and scary take on it. It was like we were right there in the thick ofit, not just watching from the sidelines. I think it gave us a real take on it. It was gory, chaotic, scary and bloody, just like a real battle would be.
Jim: I agree with Meg, that was very visceral and gave a "no hold" view of what a battle of that magnitude must have felt like.
Caralynn: I mean, the production value was seriously impressive. Particularly in the Battle of the Bastards.
