Brazil, 1979, the President of the Republic João Batista Figueiredo signs the Amnesty letter to the political prisoners. The military, once torturers, now lose their jobs. Fear, Anguish, Torture, Death ... The film deals with the first-person anguish of a torturer's character, all his fears, paranoia, and ghosts from the past that follow him are printed on the screen so that he does not allow time for the viewer to watch. The script is an adaptation of the tale of the writer from the state of Goiás in Brazil Valdivino Braz and is entitled "The Torturer him alone, without his gang and without the most deceitful lady his mother." As the film progresses, it leaves the central character in the face of his own decadence and shows that he has a fragile soul, when in the past he was able to commit a great deal of atrocities. The adapted script of Angela Torres lets us see little by little how the character languishes before his impotence to solve his own life. The direction of Ângelo Lima emphasizes at all times the cruelty that is established between both personages, Torturer (Alex Amaral) and Tortured (Itamar Gonçalves). The narrative of the film has a clear path between the character of the Torturer at the beginning of the film towards its end, in a large garbage deposit, which can be that of any city in the country. With all of this NÓDOAS is not a film that leaves indifferent who watches it. In all its history there were different reactions that evaluate what we say, from people who leave the projection room in its course, to the 24 prizes won by the Film in the different Festivals where it was projected, being able to stand out the FICCA Award - Caetê International Film Festival: AWARD OF HUMAN RIGHTS OFFERED BY THE FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF THE STATE OF PARÁ - BRAZIL.
