Three young actors. Two families. One role. Aspiring actors and family friends; Ruby, Sterling, and Katie, all receive a next-day audition request for the same role. They each must film a "self tape", aka a do-it-yourself-at-home audition. With only 12 hours to submit, they have no choice but to accept less than ideal help from: an over-dramatic stage mom, a frustrated and nit-picky father, a fellow child-actor, and perhaps the most challenging of all, a mom who knows nothing about acting. Between strict deadlines, a corny script and familial squabbles, tensions escalate. Will this be their big break or break down?
