Soledad and Lola work as seamstresses in a typical Madrid neighborhood. When Julio, a law student from a wealthy family, leaves Soledad pregnant and abandons her, she asks for help to the Paloma Virgin. Julio becomes a barrister, and has to defend an abandoned woman. Realizing his own faults, he will now get back to Soledad. Shot in Madrid on location in the Retiro park, Puerta del Sol, Paloma Church and other spots of zarzuelistic fame.
