It's very cool when writers / directors have the guts to actually tell a proper adult science fiction story,
and that's what's going on here. The story is intelligent, gripping and well paced.
The art design, settings and sounds are fantastic, believable and fairly original. This is a visually attractive cartoon in the style of a French graphic novel for mature audiences. So glad there are still people doing this kind of stuff. Mars Express reminds me a bit of Renaissance, the black and white cyberpunk thriller from the 2000s and this flick is just as good in it's own way.
Cool concepts, plot, script and acting. Over all great stuff. A really enjoyable Sci-Fi. :-)
